I did like the Royal Flush gang motif but that could work on the Escher too, maybe not quite as regimented as with Spyrers. I am imagining something like Mad Moxxi or (Arkham Asylum) Harley Quinn. Only good spyrer is a dead spyrer... Once killed off my entire Van Saar gang myself just to make sure a darn Spyrer gang could then be considered extinct... Unfortunately I killed just one Jakara and one Oruss... Needless to say i then put bounties on all of them... Which in turn only caused them to become even stronger and nett more kills... I think every TRUE Necromunda player hates Spyrers. Over where I play we consider them powerplay gangs...

@dave, I do. I also have a rel basic airbrush, but it is a canned air airbrush. I finally to the fitting to change my tank to the brush the da before we moved. No idea her its at. I've been watching the badger khromes, just with being unemployed and the employer trying o fight unemployment is putting a dampened on things. My wife is expecting a promotion in another month, and we have been talking about me being a stay at home dad before everything went south, if she gets the job I'll be a permanent at home dad. We're not dead in the water, just a one of those spots where you don't want to make any big purchases. But it's on the list.

@maus, I know the spryer gang is overpowered, I just fondly remember them. I will be doing an Escher gang, just need a old concept or them. I remember puttin bounties out on everything in our old group, much fun o try and cash them in.

Do you have a regulator? and what size is your hose fitting? I have a decent Iwata Knock-off I can send you, it's no Krome mind you, but it's better than the (shiver) Testor's (I presume) that you have?

I'm finding that I love my Sotar 2020 even better than my Krome lately, smaller color cup, but sexier with more control. $75 on Amazon!!
Do you have a Harbor Freight tools nearby? if so, they sell a most excellent $14 digital regulator that is awesome for fine-tuning your airflow (which is the key along with paint thinning)

I don't have a pressure regulator, it's all stuff that is on the list. No idea of hose size as the compressor is kept in the garage, and is currently buried. I'll try to get to it tonight, but think its a 1/4", but might be 3/8". There is. Harbor freight a few miles from me. I never go in there because I hear such bad things about the tools. I'll make a trip this week to check them out, it's by the grandparents o a side trip on weds. Is doable. I think my cheaply is a basic badger. I got it from hobbytown USA a few years ago. Used one can of air and went right back to my brush.


Here's a little more on the bulkhead idea, never really understood why there's so many with doors on them as I never see a "wall" of them that you couldn't walk around. reminds me of less nessmann from warp in Cincinnati, maybe we've all been forgetting to paint the tape on the floors to represent the walls.

I Blaime a lot on my kids, truth be told they are great. They had fun at last nights event, the high school had a mr. Oakville sr. High event. Each year for the past 13 years they've done a fund raiser and taken 20 of the senior men and had them perform for the title. You had mr. Water polo, mr. Newspaper editor, and mr. German honor society. They all had to perform a skit, formal wear, question and answer yadda yadda. This year the money went as a donation to children's cancer research in the name of a fellow student who died this year of liver cancer. She would have graduated shortly.

On to the mornings work. While watching justice league unlimited....

Thanks ruglud, I have been watching the thunderhawk build, it's going great. And I have official fort envy. My dad had built a two story playhouse for my sisters in our backyard as kids. It had running water, a sink. Lights, working windows, the whole nine yards. I think I'd work on one for them if we had enough of a yard to do it in.

Okay, so my evening fell through, no bloodbowl, but had a great night out with the family and did summer clothes shopping. Now that I'm home I did a little work n the bridge, but I'm stumped right now. I'm sure sleep will help, but before then I was wondering if anyone has some of these bits. They will be used in my space marine chapter that I was assembling. Willing t trade, have lots of marine bits, or if you need anything in particular I'll check to see if I have spares.

The biggest need is the old hunter killer missile launchers. I really want jus the four pieces of the tube. Front, back and two sides. The teleport homer is low priority. Th battle for maccragge force field thingies are for my necromunda project, and I like to get. Fe of these babies.

Yes there are 14 rhinos there, more still unassembled in the boxes. I was building a COMPLETE chapter including motor pool, administration, and air support. Not thunder hawks. I don't have those funds, but I do have plasticard.


Some more rhino chassis. I hate the whirlwind by GW, so I got a few of the FW Helios missile launchers, like the look of them a lot better. Two of the land raiders are magnetized to switch between the different types, the other 5 are pre-flamethrower version (I forget the name and can't be troubled to dig out a book or look it up on the web).

All of that is shelved now, but I hear it calling me time to time, hence the shout out for bitz.

As for right now, woke up early, unlike some I am a morning person. Too many years of working overnights or at 2am. Here's what I've been playing with this morning besides doing some reading through the necromunda rules book.

Spotlight for the bridge.

It swivels and tilts. It is wired up, just need a permanent power supply and switch. Right now I have the leads off of it taped to a nine volt battery. The base has magnets on it so I can hang it upside down, or so it can be bolted to the side of different buildings. It's mocked up here on some scrap card for display.

I have more planned for it, but it is a special surprise for a very special day in the future.

Did a little work on the bridge piers last night. Hit a stumbling block with how to keep it from tipping over. I think the final solution will be to have the piers glued to a base which will have the sump river flowing on it. There will be a pylon in the middle of the river to support the bridge when down. I located plenty of old hero quest spiders to operate as the sump spiders, just need to come up with an idea for the boats.


Think I'll make a ladder down the side off the bridge to a little dock for the boats to float over to. Also need a tower and a some barricades to operate the lucrative business transactions of the toll bridge. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Most of them already have magnetized hunter killers on them, but since the piece isn't available anymore I need to source them now. The motor pool would have about 80 rhinos if memory serves right. I might have another half dozen unassembled in the sprues boxes, can remember. Also the predators, vindicators and whirlwinds I'll need them as well. I also have about a half dozen of the older rhinos, I just don't like the look next to the newer ones. Nd I'm not going to pay forgeworld prices for rhinos.

In the motor pool picture you might see the tactical arrow and chevrons on the rhinos. I had found a perfect cutter at hobby lobby to cut those from paper. Being over zealous used it on plasticard instead. The tool broke, but I think I have a hundred of the arrows and a few dozen of th chevrons still to make the army uniform.

If you wouldn't mind them being closed off, I'd have one molded and cast up if I were you. Yeah, those are from the old-skool Russ and Chimera kits, OOP now.

In my adventures of casting I tried to do that, but just never got a good one from it. Maybe I'll try to scratch some together with plasticard. It would be good repetitive practice if nothing else.

It's OOP, and as long as they are for personal use, I think it'll be ok. You get into trouble when selling them more than anything.

Nathanie1, it was just a quickie as the light itself is from an o scale kit, just some magnets, strip stock plastic and rivets. I found my bag o magnets last week and am going a bit crazy with them. Probably the magnetic field affecting my brain . There are plans for an extension to the light. Think batman only cooler, it was going to be a secret, but I can't hold out. It is cut and ready to be mounted, but will have to be posted after church today.

Keep up the great work on your models and your painting. I am very jealous o you skills.

Okay edit time. Back from church so now I can unveil my latest insanity. I have been asking a lot of the LOERs for help lately with ideas and such. So to make things easier I created this. Hopefully I will draw the leagues attention on my blackest nights, and bring aid quickly.

I shall endeavor to keep the league going strong with my weak skills. I will improve and join the mighty ranks (just as soon as I figure out how to attach the banner).

In the meantime here's some new bridge work. I am headed out the door for my daughters belated birthday party at my parents.

The bridge with the mid sump river pedestal.


Up close of the pedestal. It has magnets loose in the pillars so sump spiders can walk up the sides later. The spiders have just undergone surgery and the magnets are inside their bottoms.


The spiders themselves for the toll bridge scenario.

They are old warhammer quest buggers, never played the game but have most of the pieces.

And lastly the bridge up, showing where the pedestal would be in the sump. I will attach a base later to all of it and hopefully try water effects at some time.
