So with the outage last night I didn't get much done. Watched tv again, more justice league. But did want to post the magnetic spiders since they are dry now and the magnets aren't popping out.



Oh and the first boat for the toll bridge.

Need to make a second boat, but do you think this one needs sides. Also had made one that was more technologically advanced, but thought better of it as the gangers need to row it across the river.

@dave, I just thought of doing a more motorized boat. Maybe it being a refurbished old arbites police boat with som of the panels being replaced. I still think I'm going to make my section of the underhive a newly reopened section that had previously been a more upscale district hundreds of years earlier. Besides If there's sump lakes I'm sure there's sump fishermen.

@shasolenzabi, thanks. If I can get some more of these used train tresel then I might make another section of it for the other end of the bridge.

Th bridge pedestal I want to later add some superglue webbig on too. The open square part will probably get a spider egg sack, or the underside of the bridge will get it. I will also make some scatter terrain for in the sump. Perhaps some bouy, definitely an old sump flood gauge, and maybe the back of a car sticking out from a body dump

Better yet, make something recognizable re purposed into a boat? LIke the aforementioned car back?

Ha! I was even hinting about using a bulkhead with some tires tied to the side as a raft. If it wouldn't be too small for four gang members I was also thinking a 1950's refrigerator. If its good enough for Indiana jones to survive a nuke, than it might be good enough for a boat ride.

I'm guessing that's a fallout reference. We have two wii but that's it. So I don't get to have fun with all the cool shooter games . But my son picked up a used of Lego Star Wars and Lego rockband recently. Got to say I'm not sure how to paint t much less model 200 year old Salisbury steak.

Nothing real exciting, took a spin through the cake decorating/party aisles because its been awhile. Mini clothes pins should work as mini clamps, also as security rails for walkways. Cookie sticks and lollipop sticks are a test to see if they are cheaper and more readily available than plastic tube. He last bag is blurry, but is full of clear plastic animals meant for drinks. But as the saint Louis zoo has a beautiful sculpture field at the front entrance, I bought maybe an old run own zoo might be cool, also might make an interesting backstory for "it came from the sump". I could use one o them above the gang hang out as the taverns name. Th pack has donkey, elephant, giraffe, camel and other animals, as well as a mermaid I didn't see until just now. That might make an appearance by the toll bridge, possibly in the sump. All this for well less than $10.00, I hunk it has possibilities.

So had lots to do this morning with the weather finally breaking. We're supposed to hit 82 degrees today, so walked to the local hardware store. You can see it from my back porch so never really a good excuse for not having things fixed, and go some lawn fertilizer. Yard is all weeds now and I don't have Dave's natural yard fertilizer source . Cleared up a couple trash bins full of tree limbs and got them ready for the collection later this week. So now on to the fun stuff...

While in the garage cleaning stuff out I stumbled onto a treasure I was certain I pitched when we moved. Hurray for being wrong

Trash bag full of empty sprue to help supplement my plastic rod. We will be seeing some sprue scenery soon.

Also with the weather good enough I could finally cut my game table top.

4x6 tabletop will definitely be better than my 32"x32" folding card table.


I had set up this bed in the basement for a place for me to sleep while all the girls stayed over, luckily plans changed and I was able to sleep in my own bed. So since it doesn't serve any purpose, and my mind found an alternate use.


Having this table may make for some better pictures. Also it's right behind my workstation, so maybe it won't continually look like this.


In the mean time I have to come up with a solution to this.

Got power steps somewhere and the front of the table overhangs enough to mount one underneath, so it's in the plan. Just have to find one.

Also since I had the table out, just wanted to see what I could do with what was built already. The only cardboard stuff used were four of the leg supports to make things stable.

That grey pile on the left is more bulkheads waiting to be used. If I get desperate I might sell them on feebay, there was a guy his week selling them for $5.00 each. I laughed n walked away, I must be the dumb on because he sold a Bunch of them. Guess I know how to finance my next project.

That set up is looking great already. Is that a 4x6 board? Remember you only need 4x4 for Necro, so you can pack stuff closer together.

Well, I wasn't expecting this today, although they emailed me to let me know they were sending it last week.

Supply drop. Some of my newfound love. Lights for my models. In this case a prototype 9 volt. Yes PROTOTYPE! I know they are putting them into production but I got it now . This is for the poweredplay.net kits that I got last week. They were sad to see the battery did not fit into my crusader, so they sent this smaller battery pack to see if this would work.

New 9volt size.


Into the leviathan it goes. Quick mockup, no holes drilled. Just have to figure where to put the other two strands I have, I have white, and red, also think I might have a purple strand. The smokestacks have orange in each one, if only they flickered.

I like these kits a lot, hoping for big things from these guys.

@ Theophony- Wow. I missed quite a few updates. Your work is amazing and if you ever run yourself down again I'll say immature things about you (such as 'Theophony eats bugs!') in the OT forum. Well... actually I won't since I dislike it there a lot, but I'll be thinking it.

Also, congratulations! The LoER has a lot of very talented (and cool) people. I've drawn inspiration from most of them. You are truly a deserving member.

The towers and walkways are excellent and I have no idea why I haven't done the same / similar becasue I REALLY want to. That sounds a bit stupid and I should just do it.

@dave, hypocrites make the old go around. Without them we would shoot out aimlessly into the universe. I o try an clean off my workspace everyday, it helps me purge my mind of the bad ideas, o at least the unproductive ones. On of my previous employees (I respect him very much, strong work ethic), always used to say "a clean workplace is a happy workplace!". He got more done in a day than most of the other employees I had.

@vik, I actually was quite worried bout where you were. I hadn't noticed you leaving comments everywhere and keeping me motivated. You are like the dakkadakka varsity cheerleader. I haven't been around the P&M section long enough to notice trends of when people are usually on, but generally see you posting all the time. I had withdrawals when dakka was down last night . I need to find some of the cool projects where people have made smoke from cotton balls to create the smoke cloud coming off the stacks on the Titan. Also need to run all the wires internally, they were just dangling out the back for the photo. The table might get a shorter brother as the bed was part of a bunk bed, and I have bother sheet of chipboard in the garage. With this set up I'll be able to put some totes and boxes under the table for easy access.

@skalk, thank for the welcome to the LOER. It is an honor. Feel free to steal the drawbridge idea, you inspired it after all with your excellent work. I love comroderie, but I love challenges even more, so lets begin the arms race. It usually drives me harder to a goal. I was wanting to build an Escher gang with every model they had, I thought I had it, but now can't locate some. I have boxes still to dig through, and some may be in the super clean bath right now. I aLos have a bag of models that went through a simple green bath but were a disaster, I might have to dig in there as well.

Sitting at the twins gymnastics class now, Thinking about terrain. This building is ancient, it's the local turners club, a German organization for family fitness that was established years ago. The building is in bad shape, but has lots of character, and gives me plenty to look at. Old style architecture combined with rust and neglect in some areas really gives a necromunda vibe. I'll try to take some photos to give you guys ideas.

Edit, took pictures to upload, but my iPad ate them. Will try again next week. The hall we go to was originally a restaurant (German), but was bought and remodeled back in the early 1960's the original building was knocked down for an interstate highway, and dated back into 1875. So over a hundred years of history was moved to this spot.

at dave... actually my wife would still dislike your desk.... she is a virgin by zodiac sign... and she dislikes the perpetual choas on my desk the most...^^

even when everything is cleaned and put in its place it still has that rough look to it^^, her sewing machine and desk looks way more tidy than any modlers place your hope to look like
