I think they deserve a chance. The only ones I've had trouble with are thin spears and and long guns. Mold lines can also be an issue, not because they are particularly bad, but because they are are hard to clean. I still find them well worth it for anything short of a centerpiece. I don't seem more than 2-3 of the dreadmere figures having issues. And the price difference to metal is going to be enormous on the big stuff.

Nah man.. all the board game pieces that are coming out as cheap or cheaper with way more detail.. there's really no excuse for them to stick to that material. It's inferior in pretty much every way.

Big. Dead. Ten bucks.
So that's about $70+ for the largest miniatures as add-ons, not including giant add-ons and paint, which can bring you past $100.
Small mini's? What small mini's?
You will never paint this well...

Basically a bunch of CROM stuff, and some dragons that are more for display than gaming.
They did say that those dragons weren't the biggest thing in the KS though...

The zombie dragon calls to me.
I also never knew I needed a zombie shark, but I now don't know how my undead army has coped without one.
I also love the duelling dragons, hoping their easy enough to model separately (i.e. their not joined at th claws)
Cheap plastic shipping containers also have so many uses.
I'm not taken by the dreadmere set, but love the concept of the land terrapin.
Oh god I'm gona end up backing this now.

There is a trick to cleaning mold lines off of Bones.
Use a sharp X-Acto knife, and slice, not scrape, the lines off.
You get a little curlicue of plastic - and the line comes right off.
Not as quick and easy as scraping with a knife, or filing with a file, but easy, once you get the hang of it.
The Auld Grump - I was doing models made from vinyl a long time before Bones was a glimmer. (There was an awesome Cthulhu model sculpted by John Dennet, back in the day.)

Also works as a Wild West Exodus Fire Eagle! Hopefully it wont bend under its own weight, but for $15 I'm willing to chance it.

Reaper's used a variety of plastics for its Bones line, and you can ask here : http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/forum/48-bones-miniatures-legendary-encounters/
I haven't heard about problems with their not-Tiamat dragon, although I didn't order it, myself.
Not seeing any new terrain or large figures, so here's the next $50 expansion.
Thes also crunched a few numbers at the price per mini, dependent on size. Gauth is $7.22 in Bones. (: : http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/75913-reaper-bones-4-enthusiasm-and-commentary-thread/&page=321

I honestly thought everyone was using $6 Safari Eagles for Rocs at this point.. Schleich and Papo have some decent ones too.. For me any time they release giant animals, those companies stand out.. Giant octopus, Dragons, Mierce sized monsters, etc.. I guess since it's not new and made for Reaper it's not passable.. as.. their cheap PVC alternative to their other mediums.. oh well

Some of those monsters look cool, but I'm pretty sure they already have an eye beast and some dark elves in bones.
Also, as much as I appreciate the talent of the artist, I really hope someone tells her that Bones humanoids will never be that spindly or sharply detailed. Perhaps she could help Reaper avoid a lot of disappointment if she drew everyone a bit chunkier.
