I don't do bit-torrent BS.

When I am able to get my hands on the Flier rules from an official source, then I'll buy the Ork DakkaJet. I guess they'll just have to wait to get my money.

From what it sounds like, this model will have a model specific interaction with markerlights? That sounds like something I've been wanting to see in the Tau Codex for a while. I just hope the model will be worth fielding >.>

Same. Many stores and opponants (especially random pick up games) won't just let you flash a PDF or fuzzy hard copy in their face and agree to it, they want a physical hard copy with official rules. I for one refuse to play with anything less. I'll steal a codex or rule book from the internet any time before I decide to commit and never bat an eye, but once I decide I'm getting into an army or a game, I buy the rule book. I view the download as "a free preview," or a "quickstart." I never use it for a permanant solution, because if it's not in my hands, it may as well be nothing at all.

Good news. This is the best time in the hobby. Full of promise. GW lets us down each time and we know it but secretly we're hoping that this is the edition that GW gives us a balanced game that can also be played competitively at tournaments. I'm loving it.

Must admit that I have also done a Dakkajet with the wings angled down. The only problem I found was that meant the Big Shoota mounts ejected the cases downwards whilst the wing mounted shootas fed and ejected upwards.

a little time with a scalpel saw, some filler, and abraisive later and .......

Here's hoping for High-Intensity Markerlights like the tetra gets, as well as some cool new tricks for the markerlight tokens once they've hit.

Been out of the game for awhile, trying to find time to get back into it.

The standard one has to balance on one ski so I don't think safe landings are a big consideration in the first place.

God I hope it's not a damned flying Skyray. Seeker missiles are a lot better now than they use to be, but honestly I still hate them in their current state. But the rumor does say it will have missiles with different effects from the current seekers, so maybe blast template option seekers? God only knows how long that option has been needed for seekers. I'm expecting (hoping) that it will have as many options as the other flyers do.

Both of those are pretty cool, part from the spacer used on the Bomma's top wing. I guess even plasticard is disallowed in the GW showcase now?

Looks like EMA section holding the wings apart, so I'd say plasticard would be allowed.

However, that is a large investment for a single biplane! You're looking at another £30 for the ability to add another set of wings, plus whatever the Ork Trukk costs these days. Must have been cheaper to have built the second wing from scratch, if you have the ability. I bet you could have cast them for less than that. And what do you do with all the bits left over from the second fuselage etc? I'd of at least added the other set of rocket engines in the middle of the top wing.

One biplane, or a squadron of 3 standard Dakkajets? ..............

I know what I'd have done!

I think he meant going to GW's home page and ordering the WD from there. Worked fine for me.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.
