Yeah, he deserves a 40mm base, and made with some nice detail flocking. He is a Big Mek, and deserves a bigger base. If you have any 40mm bases sitting around that is.

I can't tell by the photo, but the top horn on his left side looks like it's either the bone color darkening around where it meets the helmet, or did the metal from the helmet slip over onto the horn?

@ Theo, it's a band of brown, but I completely messed up the horns, should have painted the head seperate, normally do, but for some strange reason got stupid and trying to pain t those horns in situ just dont work.

So this puppy I will be trying for WWII bike and sidecar, but its orks so got to have a silly big engine, definately going for that iconic sidecar shape though.

side car like the BMW of the germans...as in the last crusade?...that would look good. i hope the heat is not even further making everything worse for you...here the heat is nearly unbearable...

For the front wheel yokes, is that one of those wire end pieces used to screw a wire down? That's clever.

Just make sure it looks like it can be steered.

Got a question.....do I put a hole in the sidecar, or mount a skorcha turret or have a barrel sticking out the front?

Don't know if Nerdy wants the head I have made, but got to have a larf...

Pintle mount on the side car. Or something like what they used to do on those old bi-planes, the sliding mount, rail mount? Not sure what it is called. Otherwise mount it to the front of the sidecar, as thought the sidecar were a turret. if that makes sense.

realistic it is then

now that looks convincing... especially the front fender that is some nice curves!!!
and i like the rolled up pack there! that adds a ton of soul!
while the side-car looks nice with (again) these curvy lines...i think it i a wee bit unrealistic to have a fully covered/armoured gunner but a biker that is unprotected save his coolness of course^^...also you rob yourself the joy of having to build two bickering grots there that try to aim and hit the other at the same time^^...

All those conversions and scratchbuilds, they make me jealous. I'd be unable to do anything like this.

The base or I don't know what that building is supposed to be is marvelous. And the side-car... with the possible head... I love it !


And for the nob, now I have a stupid song about a wrecking ball in my head...

the head...or should i say hat is an amazing piece of work... am i understanding this riight you "just" bent a piece of plasticcard and added a blob of grey stuff for the dome of the hat?... frigging amazing!

and the scorcha is a mean conversion... looks very nasty...and the mount is also very convincing...who will manhandle...er...grot/orkhandle that weapon?...

Please say that you are going to add corks hanging from the brim of the hat. I believe that's all the rage down NF's way, unless I'm tarring the Tazzies with the same brush as the Aussies? Wouldn't want to offend anyone...

The hat honestly makes me chuckle. You guys have so many options with Orks, and you have a ton ways to cover up mistakes/decorate your works. (Jealous.)

Duuuude! that Skorcha is mental good! and that slouch hat head has gotta stay going to fit in nicely when I get to the 'Paint all of Cams conversions and scratchbuilds' part of my plog! I really feel totally humbled that you are doing these for me

Also the Mek is MAD! great concept and the mace is great, the flesh tones around the mouth really give the model some character and look great! I'm gonna have to up my game and keep checking back here more often aren't I? ......or have I already
