Interesting way to park an X-Wing.

There's also a new article about Din and Grogu on AMG's website:

Excellent! Their little terrain expansions are aces and make for great scenes on the battlefield when mixed with other terrain. This kit looks awesome!

Yeah, I like those terrain sets as well. The AT-ST is cool but a bit of a pain, what with it being PVC. I'm glad they switched to hard plastic for the later sets.

I like that there's a pilot in le X-Wing box as well. In spite of being rebel scum, that orange suit is pretty fashionable.

I don't know if it's all the GW kits I've built, but so far I've had no issues with any of my kits. What's wrong with the PVC stuff?

Aside from disliking the material in principle, I find large pieces hard to work with. A part of my wrecked AT-ST's crew compartment was pretty warped and getting it to fit involved a lot of work and even more swearing. It wasn't even a matter of heating it and bending it back to shape as you normally would with PVC. The part was just too thick to make that work.

Additionally, the PVC base that was originally straight deformed a little after I glued a leg on and the leg tried to pull back into its bent shape and because the glue wouldn't shift, what it was glued to did. It's nothing major, mind you, but this kind of thing annoys me.

It's just that I much prefer hard plastic that is engineered with more precision, usually has a lot less warping issues and is easier to fix due to how plastic cement works.

The PVC kits did improve a little over time but the change to hard plastic was a game-changer; they're excellent kits at this point with little-to-no clean up or gap filling needed. I wouldn't complain at this point if AMG remade some of the earlier core troops, probably with a new Starter box. Basic Stormtroopers and Rebels (and the Phase 1 Clones) at least.

Blizzard Force has been delayed until 2023. There are huge issues with the 501st box, misprints and missing parts galore. Sounds like a quality control issue.

Have not heard about 501st issues besides missing flight stands, what else is wrong with it? Heard quite a few complaints about the Separatist invasion box not including all of the pilots for the AAT but that was intended (despite how dumb a move it is).

Couple of recent articles including all the cards for the next wave;

https://www.atomicmassgames.com/star-wars-legion-transmissions/scene-to-stat-ig-series-assassin-droid

And damn is Din broken.

Some of the cards are misprinted with wrong text or dice pool. I hadn't heard about the CIS box having issues, what do you mean not all of the pilots are in it?

Din looks good, I don't think he's broken. He also carries a major handicap with Grogu who is going to be painfully easy to kill and then collect for a skilled player.

The T-Series and Lok Durd pilot cards are not included, Lok is not legal for the SI but T series is, so one would have to get the cards separately if one wanted to use them (anywhere that proxying matters...).

Din does not have to take the Child. He does have the option to take a gun that can fire across the table to take a wound off any target in LOS (like the child...) regardless of it having counterpart/small/incognito/being in a closed transport etc on a 75% chance.
He also can also have 2r3b pierce in melee (plus immune pierce), speed 3 jump 2, has tactical and if not issued an order gains a dodge and an aim.
He also costs the same as Cad and Bane, less than Boba or Sabine and is more powerful than any of them.

He's very very good no doubt. Probably better without Grogu by a lot.

I don't think the gun is broken given its all Din is doing for a turn, but its definitely part of an overall very powerful kit.

The thing is, to maximize him you can't give him a face up order. So that's going to cut into your maneuverability a bit in terms of going first with him.

Thanks for the link, CED! I was able to snag Darth Maul for my separatist army (mainly because they had him).

AND I got the separatist starter fleet, plus both separatist and republic squadron packs for Armada.

not bad for $114!

The lack of a pass mechanic has long been my biggest issue with the game. Just way to easy to punish all the actually interest units with activation advantage.

The crashed x-wing RRP is £100. Is it made of gold?

Yep, that's expensive alright.

Maybe Legion terrain expansions didn't sell well, they made fewer of this one and try to get as much money out of the ones they made as they can?

From what I have been told, none of the terrain packs besides the crashed escape pod have sold all that well. Mainly due to them not really working well in the game since they have their own bespoke themed battle cards and missions that aren't compatible with the normal game format of bids and battle decks.

And the only reason the escape pod has sold well was that R2 and C-3PO are legal minis to use in both Rebels and Republic.

It's definitely pricey. Probably put a fair few people off for that reason and the included rules catering to a more narrative, occasional play. Prices for Legion seem to vary pretty wildly between sites/sets so I'm sure if someone really wanted it then it won't be hard to find it at half that price in a few months.

Wait till you see the UK RRP for the upcoming Dark Troopers....

I do think, specifically in the UK, Legion is going to be seeing some rough price uplifts on new sets as Asmodee are hiking up the RRPs/trade costs on items they distribute (down to logistics, value of £ etc.).

Hmm, sure seems like the UK gets to pay a good bit extra. Not that the X-Wing is cheap over here either, but in spite of the exchange rate the two places I checked have it for just under 100€.

Legion has been on the backburner locally for a while. Excited about the changes and new models, not sure if it'll pick back up though.
