I was thinking of a backhoe, but I'm probably done after this with vehicles, at least for a little bit. After all a steam roller, and backhoe don't really have a place in a warehouse.

I started a warehouse, not a street repair crew LDD. I still need racking for the pallets to go into, and more machines of a dubious nature. Plus I still need to focus on "when servo skulls attack".

so the steamroller only works in terms of the austin powers scene... itherwise in a warehouse it would be out of place...

Later on I might do a servo skull road repair team complete with jackhammer operator, but I am resisting the urge to switch yet again. These were supposed to be police, hen they were c.s.i. Servo skulls, then everything went , now I have he postal service back room . I need more servo skulls...and a hug .

@vik, I feel all warm and squishy now, mainly because of all the broken bones and blood draining out after the hug, but I'm sure that will pass.

It's weds. Grandparents day cleaning the basement out for them some more. 5 months in and I'm at the point of apathy. I don't want o go over because like last week poppy won't have a plan and what he wants to get done, so it will be a few hours wasted. He keeps changing his mind on what he wants to accomplish, hopefully this will be another week where he walks upstairs and tells me just to go at it. It's when I get more junk pitched tHan any other Time he's there. Sorry enough .

Got a few ideas in my head for a necromunda table with sewers, will have to run by the hardware store to get some ideas and see if the budget works out. It's for far in the future, as I don't want to get sidetracked from the postal servo skulls.

not gonna get much done today, but a year old issue has been finally put to bed. long story short our old house sold today. like a lot of people we tried puttingit on the market a year ago when we moved closer to my wifes work and her grandparents. back then they weren't doing too good, and didn't expect either to be around now frankly. they have both gotten better, but still require a lot of extra attention, im making big brownie points while unemployed helping out. The oldhouse we owed more on it than what it was worth, due to the banks saying it was worth so much when we bought it 9 years ago. we got a buyer within the first 12 hours of it being on the market, but since it had two loans and valued less than current market it has taken 11+ months to get through all the red tape. The two banks fought it out, and we had gone to closing 4-5 times over the time period to sign the final papers only to find out one of the two had backed out, changed paperwork, or some other goofy thing. Finally relieved of this one major stressor in my life .

while waiting to sign papers I was reading other p&M blogs which got me thinking of an older T.V. show, which got me to rethink my security force. and it has been missing something. so i'll just leave this here for inspiration.

I'm trying to come up with a good acronym for them right now I'm thinking DAWGS, Deployable artificial weaponized guard system.
They have transport homers to bring in the big boys.

Another idea before working on the dawgs. You can never have enough barrels in necromunda. I've seen the scratch builds using paper, but into that patient. So I took some 7/16" tubing and cut them into 1/4" sections, three of them. I then popped four 1/2" circles from plastic card using my leather punches. I then stacked them to get the one on the left.

Tried a smaller size, I don't like that as much. What do you think. Also the top flat piece could be left off for a burning barrel to keep warm.

Not a bad idea. The "rings" could do with rounding off to match the actual barrel ribbing. Either sanding them of putty them would work.
Also don't forget the little hole in the top, if you have a top.

I like those!..But yeah, they could use a bit of sanding. While you're sanding, might as well make kegs

More work will come of the barrels, but working on the dawgs right now.

The dog-bot is not working out right for me, scrapping that idea in its puppyhood. will try to think of ideas while im lounging by the pool today, taking the kids to a splash park in Illinois (30 minute drive), hopefully get some inspiration while their.

The barrels demonstrate that you are thinking in basic shapes and layers. Keep doing that, and you'll be sure to find inspiration!

My creative side failed me this evening, and most of the day was with he kids, so no much to show. I did take he last hour to work on the competition entry I have for Brian's recycle project. Here's what I have, and it might get a few more touches done, but needed to at least have somewhat of an entry done for one of the competitions.

Mine can be used in any modern, or sci fi setting, was going to do a fantasy version, but hen two other competitions started. I think his would be an excellent backdrop for a zombie movie, or horror movie. Anybody see the second "the hills have eyes"?






Materials used in the project: CD, drinking straws, old gift and credit cards,dice cube container, sprue, paperclips,wire from toy purchase (wraps the toy to the cardboard backing), and a wheel off a broken toy truck.

Thanks to ruglud who has christened the John E spot as "the Turdis" over in the competition thread. Now for more progress.

Well after painting the "Turdis", I layer some base colors on the tempest chicken, a lot more work needed here, but wanted to give an update of my progress.

Still have to paint the heavy flamer, missile pods, cockpit, sensors......lots to go including the obligatory designation numbers on it of "EFU2GW"
