Yes vik, a little over the top, but better than the entire leg. Thinking of painting it the gunmetal of the legs, or hazard stripes. The color scheme was just to remind everyone that they are police (black and white). The turdis will be getting another coat and some other additions to the display.

ah... yes hazard stripes would make sense!!!...and now i see... that scheme now makes more sense for me now too!...

I'm having problems figuring the cockpit color. I thought blue, but it wasn't looking right either, was wanting to stay away from red because that would look too much like black Templars. Any other suggestions? Green didn't look good and I don't have other yellows.

All the yellow will get hazard stripes and the top of the tower will be grey as well.

It is adeptus standard grey. It will get a wash of Delian mud or black wash. Think I might paint the shutters bolt gun metal first though.

Update to the tempest chicken. I didn't like the hazard stripe feet, so black they went. Also started on the gun pods and second coats to base areas.

actually this looks better to me too... so a wise decision!

Looks good Theo. I would suggest that the claws get a lot of weathering, scratches and maybe a little blood...?

@dr. H, the claws will get some scratching. Only the crAzy servo skulls use them to attack with, they are for carrying dreadnought and landing.
@Vik, I'm thinking of doing the missiles in red, or do you think they should be a different color. The sensor I the pod will have the orange lenses as well. The lenses still have a long way to go yet though.

Not much done yesterday, I was a little under the weather, still tired, but slept ten hours last night which is double my normal sleep. Church this morning and again later tonight for a special event. My daughter went to church camp this week with 200+ other kids and they are doing a get together for all the kids and parents tonight. The twins get to go next year, so we want them to see the slideshow presentation.

Also: codex space marines is coming out in sept, as reported in news and rumors. So I am considering redoing my companies in iron hands( servo skull) tradition.

Edit: quick work, used the containers my wife's razor blades come in to make a couple vents for necromunda.

and why did you feel a bit low? weather related? yesterday i had a severe lack of energy too... even slept during noon...very unsual for me ... but at 98.6 °F...no wonder when you´re not used to that heat... thankfully it is getting better today... around 80.6° now... and the night is far colder... finally we can sleep sound...but then... school is starting tomorrow....:(

Just a stomach bug vik, nothing weather related. The weather here has been gorgeous ll week, even the rain was welcome and didn't leave humidity behind.

The new items are air vents vik, the grates are to keep out the riffraff, gangers and mutants. It will be scatter terrain and be spots where gang members can enter/leave the board during play.

Only the missile tips stick out, should. Just do them black? Or still do black with. Rudolf nose?

If the surround of the missiles will be staying as it is (white) then I say red tips and if you can make it look like the rest of the missile is black then that's a bonus.
If that front plate (where the missiles stick out) is going to be black, then red tips and make the missiles look white bodied.

Either way, the red will add a splash of colour.

Well, no painting today yet, last night I got a strange urge to use the rest of the storm raven bits I still had from the two kits I've stolen parts from. But I didn't want to build another ugly bird, so what to make out of it, something came to mind. With the new codex coming out and grav stuff supposedly in the book how about a grav tank? Since the storm raven is supposed to be a flying land raider, why not bash one out of it. The fuselage stays the same except I will endeavor to stretch the back a little. If I just use this as a land raider the front door still works, and the side doors will still be necessary, but how will I mount the side guns? Well I chopped the wings a few times, found a new attachment point, and used the cut off for a whale tail. The profile is looking more like a landspeeder now, just one that needs a diet like me. Here's where I'm at.


So this would be the terminator version of the landspeeder storm. Able to swiftly move termis across the battlefield at low altitude while still providing cover fire and protection.

Inspiration pieces.
It can still sport the front mount weapons, Nd have a top mounted weapon system, and possibly a bottom weapon system under where I will extend it. This project is low priority, and will easily get set aside, just something that popped into my head and had to come out.

Yeah, hover-tank. It never looked like it could fly anyway, hovering is more believable.

More fun with extra bits, I see this as an enforcement bot of some type, possibly a attack bike, or as a thunder fire cannon, what do you think. Inspired by the air soft pellets.

Yeah. That could look very cool. The cannon will need some bulking out at the bottom end though, but good concept.
