I do like me some jump pack infantry (my 20 odd warp talons can attest of that )

But on the subject of disappeared Eldar models: while I was researching Eldar lore I came across the Exodites. Anyone think they might be brought back ? (Because, let's admit it, space-elves on dinosaur are just too cool to not exist in 40k)

I'm hoping they do a genestealer cults to exodites. They're such a cool concept, and having Exodite lords mounted on megasaurs clashing with imperial knights is too cool not to produce. They've got plenty of material to work from now with the eldar miniature refresh and all the dragon esque units released in AOS.

It's not hard to digitally kitbash models together. It just requires GW to invest time and energy in making the release happen.

I'd love GW to do Exodites like Genestealer Cults. I just think they never will. Exodites are the "go on buy a Seraphon/Lizardman dinosaur kit and an Eldar kit and mash them together - and honestly I've seen some really great conversions of that
but darn it its expensive

Then again Genstealer Cults were the "Buy an Imperial army - buy some nids - stick some extra arms on the Imperials

An exodite army has been my dream gw release ever since I saw this Diorama by Mike McVey.
It's a fine line between cool and goofy though and a lot of the converted armies I've seen fall on the wrong side of the line.

What will D-Sycthes on the Hemlock wraithfighter be? Also D-Cannons? I have tons of support platforms and wraithseers. Also have warp hunters. Need to know if they’re getting all boosted like wraith cannons.

The 1000 Sons Tzangagors are just the AoS versions with an extra sprue for pistol/sword arms for sci-fi use. The same could be done with some of the AoS Elf mini's. throw in a sprue with a few shuriken pistol arms, a few 40k style Eldar heads (rebreathers perhaps?), And a couple Eldar bits. Package it with a select few boxes of Elves and you have and Exodite army. Perhaps one or two dedicated full on Character clampacks. That's as much support as Harlequins got when they got a codex.

I'm not sure any of the AoS Aelves (TM) would really be suitable. They're a bit elaborate to be Eldar.

Have you seen Farseers?

For troops, yeah, Aelves are a bit much. But HQs and other characters, they'd be a possibility.
Exodites are different again. Once you go Dino, long flowing robes might be the perfect theme for them.

I'll grant you that Corsairs could be seen as more interesting/compelling than the Ynnari, but Harlequins definitely trump both.

I'm not sure where I'd slot Exodites into that ranking, but it would be nice to finally see them get some official models - I seem to recall a Codex enry in the 2nd ed Codex: Eldar, but no sculpts were released.

I think Exodites should be done, because then it would complete all the major Eldar ways of life. Corsairs while perhaps interesting from an individual point of view, don't have a metaphysical angle to them the way the Exodites do.

Craftworlders focus on the Path system and retain their psychic abilities. Their afterlife is in spirit stones and the Infinity Circuits.
Dark Eldar live life like immediately Pre-Fall Eldar and focus on their physical abilities while letting their psychic abilities atrophy. They live so long as they can keep feeding on pain and getting resurrected by Haemonculi.
Exodites sacrifice power but do not adopt the Path system. They wear spirit stones and live on in the World Spirit of their worlds, which are like Infinity Circuits.
Harlequins follow the Laughing God and do not sacrifice their physical nor their psychic abilities. Their afterlife is merging with their god.
Ynnari follow Ynnead. Their afterlife seems to be with their leaders who form living Infinity Circuits and/or merging with Ynnead (who seems to be the sum total of all Craftworld Infinity Circuits but it's unclear now whether Ynnead has a presence in the open warp).

Corsairs would be like the fluid in between all these different ways of life, for Eldar transitioning to or from them.

D Cannon damage changed. No information on Hemlocks. Unsure what, if any, changes will occur for the Warp Hunter as it is in the FW book. I suspect all we will get for the FW entries is all weapons in the FW book will be the same stats as in the codex and update some keywords.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.

It would have to be more that just weapons like what tzaangors got. But if they included a sprue for bodies, then the old dark elves on cold ones have exodite potential.

Speaking of dark elves, executioner heads (although they're masks, so the head isn't completely enclosed) would make some fitting head swaps for Dark Reapers

I know wraith cannon damage changed but I am talking about the support weapon D Cannons. I didn’t see information about them getting released. If it goes to D3+3 per shot then I am running my 3x3 support cannon list again hahahaha

I assume there's a deluxe launch box on the way, with a limited edition codex included? Any word?

Zero indication of that. Eldritch Omens is the box, and it’s not an army launch box it’s a Battle box.

Eldritch Omens isn't launching at the same time as the book, so GW could still do a launch army battlebox at the same time as the codex as that is all coming later. If we assume Omens was delayed from the original plans then there might have been a longer gap suitable for then encouraging sales of a collectors starting set.

However such things are honestly rare and not the normal so we'll have to wait and see

Ehhh...

There have been four launch boxes. Of those, three were for a single system. Black Templars and Beast-Snaggas, arguably, were subfaction focused. The Sisters of Battle one was billed as an "army set".
Lumineth were for AoS...and were basically "built with 3E in mind".

Sisters of Battle army set was November of 2019. The following year saw "Piety and Pain" release in the midst of a worldwide pandemic and delayed/screwed up release schedules.

It is entirely believable that there will be a launch box for Aeldari, given the size of the release. The fact that there is a Combat Patrol known before the army is ever up for preorder is unusual but given that the book is literally in the hands of leakers that is why it is known. Interestingly though, the Combat Patrol is not made up of anything "new" barring the upcoming Guardians box.

Preorders up in NZ.

105 Kiwis for Kriegers, 110 for Kommandos. And 145 for the mini starter set. I really hope this means people buy that in bulk and sell individually for cheap

Yeah wrong thread but since you wrote it here I'll reply here, those prices are bizarre. Full starter set costs 70% of the cost of both squads added, plus you get the scatter terrain. UK price for sets are

Starter set £65,
Kommandos £36.50
DKOK £34.50

buying the starter less than a 10% saving : (

Yeah, and if you buy it in NZ you save over 30%, not less than 10% as you would in the UK, was the point I was making. And that looks like a paper mat to me (I like their game boards but I consider the paper versions to be worthless).
