Congrats on 205k Sucks that you gotta give 20k to Amazon and Kickstarter now

I screwed up though. I'm poor so I meant to drop my pledge to $20 for just some troopers, I changed my pledge to the troopers, but never adjusted the cash, so I ended up still paying $89. Guess I'll get a leviathan after all then I'll probably go with the crusader. I love the mortis but I'm too impatient to wait. I can just get a mortis too when they're ready

Seeing that you are pretty talented at designing, you should also design a weapons kit. Flamethrowers and other weapons to attach to the plastic storm troopers. I've just now thought about how to assemble the troopers and without rules I'm not really sure what the loadout should be.

Poda- Maybe there will be an option to add and you can join someone you know. Bummer you missed it!

Don't know anyone around my neck of the woods and whether they joined in... oh well... I guess I have $100 to drop on the next kickstarter... I missed by about 30 minutes.

Mark, congrats.

But that was a very, very evil move. I was out all day planning my mother's 65th birthday surprise party. I totally missed out on the black widows. And I asked you for ladies weeks ago! Come on man!

If you're okay with selling fewer valkirs, then we're good, I suppose. If there is any way I can adjust my pledge post KS, then you'll get more money.

Mathieu, it was definitely a last minute addition and I had trouble with maths last night, and even though I upped my pledge significantly there's a few things that I didn't account for. I think it will sort itself out rather easily with the survey, though as I'm going to fill out what I wanted and hopefully be able to add money, since the total is off now.

As noted before:
Kickstarter Update #60 wrote:4) Compare the survey to what you were backing and see if everything adds up, contact those who may require addition funding to cover the items they were backing.

Also, poda- While maybe not close, I note that Mathieu is in Canada, and if he's having to correct his total anyway...

Hey Mark,
before signing any contracts with the current boss of Wargames Factory, just make sure to read the contract carefully.
Last time he made a contract, he managed a hostile takeover of Wargames Factory with copyrights on all products. The previous owner started new as Defiance Games. Just saying

Kroothawk, I think we also know that it's a bit more complex than that.

But before we go OT too long, yes, if I get a chance to readjust and someone doesn't mind sending me a cheque (nothing too extravagant, mind you) I'll be glad to help out a fellow dakkanaut.

So, any idea on when the survey will be sent out to confirm what we all ordered?

Well, it had better come before november!

I love you too, Von, but I loves my monies a bit more. Nothing personal.

I definitely think I will skip the valkirs if it means more Stormtroopers of the female kind.

From the details Reaper provided.

Amazon spends 7 days trying to collect the cash

After that KS takes up to 14 days more before passing the money & backer details to Mark (Seems to be taking longer than that for some KS projects tho)

Then Mark will need to deal with it (or maybe WGF will be doing it for him)

I think I've seen surveys go out sooner than that, though... and I would think he'll need totals for the November items somewhat quickly (although they'll be getting put on a boat regardless, I imagine, so maybe they don't need to know specific numbers until they hit the US).

He said he'd be sleeping today, though, and then tackling all of that . I think he deserves a day off! When he comes back up I hope we can find out more about the process of sending the remaining funds for pledges that are off (mine is off significantly... but that means I also have significant funds to send, which I think should be a good thing!).

What is about female troopers?

Wish I had heard about this sooner. I would pay a decent chunk of change had I known. Female IG is kind of the holy grail for me .

Hello all,

I realize that there will be backers that did not have a chance to participate in the late rewards for a number of reasons. I need to have a few conference calls with WGF to find out how we will handle that side of things… I hope to be able to at least explain what we can do on Monday or Tuesday. The gentleman who handles those issues is a brand new father as of last week, so we have not had an opportunity to resolve those issues yet... He has been at home attending to his family.

The moment I know the direction we are heading I will post an update.

Thanks again!
Mark

Any resemblance of this post to written English is purely coincidental.

Thanks for keeping us in the loop, Mark! Monday or Tuesday would be great to find out where you're heading with this

I hope, like other kickstarters, that the total can just be rectified with a Paypal payment for those who are short of what they wanted to pledge for. Would be the easiest way to do it, I think

Thanks Mark looking forward to the update... with any luck we'll be able to add a little at the end, once I get this VA stuff straightened out I could go for changing my order a tad XD.

Like another crusader... and a box of Valkir... and an APC... XD

Congrats to Mark on such a successful kickstarter. I would have jumped in just on principle, but the Eisenkern aesthetic isn't my thing, and my hobby budget is less than zero right now. Now that Iron Core is a lock now, I'll certainly try to stash some money away for the next faction

Seconded...and hes said that Shadokesh is next. Im hoping that Protectorate is after that, most because they use actual tanks...and I cant wait to see some Iron Core tanks.

You're right, Eisenkern is fleshed out enough for the moment, it is certainly a sizeable, diverse enough force for a starting game system. To have a force that favours tanks over walkers would be interesting.

Man this reminds me sooooooooo much of the good ol' Battletech days. I used to love clan Hell Horse...

The mini mortis seems to have been very popular.

Yeah, my plan is to use them as admech "sisters of battle", with units of adepticonstructs as penetent engines, heavy troopers as allied blood angles and the baby mortises as death company dreads

lotta dreads in that army

at least until dreamforges rules are done.

I look forward to seeing if it's possible to grab some extra stuff that we might have not been able to pledge for in time. I'm currently sitting on:

3xLeviathans
4xExtra Arms
5x15mm Leviathans
12x15mm Weapons

And if given a chance to grab some extra's it'd probably be along the lines of:

5x20 Man Regular Infantry
2xBlack Widow Squads
3x15mm Mortis
8x15mm Weapons

That's at the most but for sure around an extra $150-$200. Just missed the chance to swap my pledge up since I was busy all last night.

I hope they noticed how well this did and chain mark to a desk to design the rest of the iron-core universe. We'll let him up for potty breaks from time to time but if a catheter is required to get everything done.....

Just kidding about the catheter, not so much about the chains.

Plus the catheter makes you lose involuntary muscle control down there for a while, so it would take longer to prop him back up for public appearances, so I'd say it's a no-go.

But it's not as if WGF has actually bought DreamForge, eh? So as long as Mark makes his payments on time, he'll be fine. I'm guessing he's going to want to maybe hire a person or two to help him out, at least on a temporary basis.

Yeah, but doing concept art, keeping tabs of production paperwork, doing all the editing for the rules...

I'm sure he'll find a boatload of playtesters here, no problem. But having a team physically with you to brainstorm, that's a bit different. Or maybe I am just old school.
