I didn't get to do too much today (besides running the TT Miniature Gaming day, which went well despite the kids being a bit...frustrating today lol) But I did go over the green stuffed muzzle flash on Adelana's gun, and I'm very happy with how it turned out.

Painting a small shark for a D&D game.

I ordered a Inner sphere urban lance. All of 'em are gonna be painted up as Northwind Highlanders.

Adjusting my T'au to shift from 750 to 1,000 points in an escalation game, today seeing some XV-8 Crisis suits printed after setting them up in Blender to make adjusting the pose easier

Had a couple of Grimdark Future: Firefight with my friend today. Had a lot of fun! Forgot to take photos, though lol

About to start assembly on my new Cities of Sigmar box.

Began assembling an Inquisitor lady proxy I bought from Etsy ages ago. She's one of the minis that's been sitting around assembled and primed for months. I decided to paint her as Inquisitor Jelcine Enandra from Secret War even though she wields a plasma pistol and a power fist, and the lady Inquisitor has a bolter and a cane of sorts. The armour is probably a bit too elaborate for her, and no Ordo Hereticus Hat! But oh well, it'll be nice to have a mini of her, and she could lead a Grimdark Future: Firefight team in the near future. In all honesty, she's playing a much larger role in Secret War: The Annihilation Plague than in Secret War and Secret War: Upon Blood Sands, and she's becoming one of my favourite characters to write.

Today my hobby activity is sadly throwing away a bunch of half-finished and unassembled models as I try and slim down in preparation for my house move.

RIP, King Ghidorah Heldrake that I painstakingly spent ages sculping cables for, only for the project to take so long that Death Guard lost the ability to take Heldrakes in the meantime

RIP, trio of Greater Blight Drones that I modelled to look like Octabrains after seeing the Duke Nukem Forever trailer. I will probably recreate you at some point

RIP, recast Mk2B Land Raider whose sides never quite fit right

RIP, 3D printed Imperator head that warped a bit and severely needed gapfilling, but taught me how to use colourshift paints through an airbrush & use masking fluid to make metallic trim not make me want to tear my hair out

I will probably attempt to recreate some or all of these in the future, perhaps using 3D printing, but the originals are consigned to the trash. I leave them here to mark their passing

Small conversions to make few pieces of otherwise identical plastic terrain look a bit different.

Pretty much finished my Inquisitor Enandra mini, and she does look decent. I also made a not-Gaunt's Ghosts faction for Grimdark Future and GF: Firefight and made a GFF list for it. I made a Grimdark Future "dream list" based on my Indendant Inquisition faction, which is basically Inquisitor Enandra's forces from Secret War. It'd be so cool to play. One day, maybe. One day lol.

Starting on my Freeguild Marshal...playing with some metallic shenanigans.

Created a new piece of terrain by joining/converting two Archon's hills, and adding a tree on top.

Played heroquest with my friends yesterday. We used the app and i was the baddies. Also painted the first figure on a commission for an admech force. It’s an hq guy with a dozen tentacles under his skirts. It makes me appreciate non gw models’ simplicity. A skabillion little doodads festoon the miniature.

Practically finished my Inquisitor Enandra mini and began working on my Karandras proxy. Also ordered a bunch of minis online and made a couple new lists for not-Chaos for Grimdark Future: Firefight.

Painting 104 men.

Actually over 50% status done.

We're celebrating Labor Day with a big multi-player Tau vs Imperial game.

Right now it's 2v2, 1500 pts per person.

So it ended up being 3v2 (3 Imperial vs 2 Tau), 3k pts total per side. The Guard + Knights attacking the Tau (though the Tau saw it coming & got 1st turn).
Many models died on both sides. The Imperials were tabled. The Tau won on VP.
Oh, and much food & drink were consumed with a good time being had by all. Even by the Knight player who after getting wiped out top of 3 was consigned to Grill & score keeping duties.

Started some classic Necromunda towers, replacing the cardboard with plastic card.

Almost finished my Karandras proxy and quite happy with him so far and began my Jain Zar (who's the only proper GW Phoenix Lord I own) as the wash on Karandras was drying.

Also made and printed out a few more Grimdark Future: Firefight Chaos lists for the game day tomorrow.

More work on the Necro towers. On one of them I am starting to think I will keep the cardboard...but reinforce it underneath and then add bit and paint.

With my Tau out of storage & put back into successful fighting form, my attention now turns to my Eldar....

3 Wave Serpents (star cannons + shuriken cannon) - missing cockpit canopies
1 Falcon (Bright Lance & Pulse Laser) - missing cockpit canopies
9 Vypers - all missing their gunner, seat, & heavy weapon, 6 missing cockpit canopies - not terribly pleased to see that in 10e Vypers are solo units. So only 3/9 will see play at any given time. :(
2 Avatars (1 OG metal, the other FW with spear)
1 vintage War Walker - missing weapons
3 Characters (Eldrad, Assuraman, & Fuegan)
a small collection of loose metal heavy weapons (not nearly enough to equip all the Vypers/WL, & Walker, let alone optimally....
and a handfull of misc bitz & a few random Guardians

Oh, and an Armorcast Phantom Titan.

Definitely not the current Meta units....

All in all though? Not in too bad of shape repair-wise.
I need:
10x cockpit canopies (4 at the minimum)
11x heavy weapons (5 minimum)
x9 Vyper Gunners (3 minimum)
x9 Vyper gunner seats/weapons mounts - these I'm thinking will be the hard part. Fortunately I only need 3 at the minimum.

The only things I think I'll add are:
x3 wave serpents - this will allow me to have all my Dragons & all my WG mounted. It'll also take care of supplying all the heavy weapons I need.
x1 Autarch Wayleaper - I like the model & his rules.

Had the Wednesday game day with the kids. Grimdark Future: Firefight. Gaunt's Ghosts (which I made in Army Forge Studio) and Dark Angels vs me with Chaos Cultists and Infected Colonies from Deadzone 300pts. Was a lot of fun.

Printing counters for "Bag the Hun" at the weekend, the "common" ones are done, waiting some red and blue resin tomorrow for the player specific ones.

hopefully have the time to spray varnish them for the same feel to the touch

rulebook also printed, the hex grid map and models found.

got an email about Necromunda floor tiles being back in stock locally so have ordered two and a copy of the just rules 40k book

Weather has been super nice so I haven't had time to hobby much. Deathwatch still sitting half painted on my table but I did manage to put together a few models.

Also given all the stuff I have scattered on my hobby room floor I realize I really need better organization...

Built a British Automated Carrier for Konflict 47 this afternoon.
1 more of these + 10 infantry to go.....

I needed more mechs, it’s amazing how much they cost when you are buying enough to last for the year hopefully.

Got my little city ready for paint, hopefully in a few weeks can play zombie games and MCP for some big campaigns on the new modern city.

Space marines are done, going to a new home this weekend.
