Agreed.. that was a nice progression. Now more DG in your future
I have pondered about doing some more DG or perhaps another squad of plague bearers. Would be fun to run a battalion of daemons.

youwashock wrote:Stellar finish. Hope that Solitaire has some friends on the way.
. Thanks Youwashock. There is several harlequins hiding in a box somewhere in the basement.

Thank you Aku-Chan.

gobert wrote:Lovely (?) job on the GUO, lots of detail that jumps out. Great work Yorkright! Thanks for the scale pics, I thought he’d be similar in height to Bobby G, but he’s even bigger still!
. Thank you Gobert, yeah he is massive I stood him next to Bobby and he dwarfs the primarch. Hard to believe that in a fight it would be pretty close.

Gwyn chan 'r Gwyll wrote:Definitely taking notes on the attention, painting the yellow fatty layers before the viscera was a genius detail.
Thank you Gwyn chan, it was pretty challenging getting that part done and there may have been a few repaints but it seems to have turned out.

New additions to Row Boats boys. Phobos Lieutenant and some infiltrators. Last photo is from the latest game I played against the Deathguard. Surrounded by 40 pox walkers the Intercessors held out as long as possible before being ground up into compost.

Thanks for looking.

phobos guys look pretty sweet. Hopefully your intercessors took a satisfactory tally to the afterlife with them...

Those finished shots of the GUO are amazing. That detail pic from the face is... gorgeous is the wrong word, but what a paintjob. The eyes looks next level and as others have said, the way you do the color transitions is marvelous!

Life’s been busy so my apologies for not being on more.

brushcommando wrote:phobos guys look pretty sweet. Hopefully your intercessors took a satisfactory tally to the afterlife with them...
. Thanks Brushcommando, they did hold up for a bit but Papa Nurgle swamped me in the end. Who knew 70 pox walkers would be difficult to kill.

Thank you Viterbi, can’t wait to try him out. Probably have newly painted model syndrome and get shot off the board first turn.

Latest squad done for the Ultramarines. Closing in on 4K of primaris. Have some more Phobos, suppressors, 6 Intercessors, Impulsor and some stuff from the Indomitus box yet. Almost forgot Tigerius too who is lounging in the wings.
Will try and be on a bit more, thanks for looking.

Now that's what you call a force. Cool army you've got so far and hopefully it will develop as planned. And don't worry about the GUO getting shot of the board, because of its shiny new paint... that only means that the rest of your army can waltz right through the enemy

Impressive army. I especially like the vehicles. Nice, crisp paintjobs on both the impulsor and redemptor. Any heavy armor (repulsor, gladius) coming up on the painting docket?

Thank you all for the kind words, I am taking a break from the boys in blue at the moment.
@Brushcommando I dont have any tanks (at the moment) at this time for the Ultramarines, but christmas is coming up and maybe Santa will be kind and drop off something big and shooty.

After painting up the GUO the plague fever came upon me and I took out a box of Plague bearers and did some quick paint jobs on them. Using mostly contrast paints and washes I think they turned out ok.

Nice job on the plaguebearers! I think nurgle more than any other faction benefits from the advent of contrast paints... ...which makes me question their origin and the true price of using them. Please stop using them immediately in the event you grow horns...

Solid work on the plaguebearers. The spots of contrasting colors and the bright white eyes really stand out against the greens.

Now showing a Harlequin Dreadnought!

Thank you Brush! Totally agree about how well contrast goes with Nurgle models as for the horns… only time will tell.
