Practically finished the Ecclesiarch and the Navigator for Blackstone Fortress. Also fixed up my Attelus on rock mini's face a bit. I also finally began making my Five Parsecs from Home crew, and I printed out the rulebook for Planet 28 2nd edition on a whim.

Project completed! One 2x2 dungeon game board. I probably should have given it a heavier drybrush to brighten it up more but I had absolutely destroyed my brush getting this done and this was the best result.

Will need to go out and get more supplies and plan on more expansions for it. But for now I can use this for Frostgrave, Rangers of Shadowdeep or even doing the Mines of Moria scenario for the LOTR strategy game (Although I'd have to finish painting my terrain for that one).




Just slapped down some walls from my AOS terrain box and it makes a pretty good skirmish dungeon setting. I'll have to fill it up with more scatter terrain, but I'm very happy with the results. Came out as well as I had hoped!

Completed my Blackstone Fortress minis just gotta base a few of them (yay!) Then began painting the Hero Forge minis of Marcel Torris (with shotgun) and Jeurat Garrakson (with autocannon) from Secret War and having fun with them! Looking forward to using them in my Grimdark Future/Firefight Inquisition forces and my Five Parsecs from Home crew!

Began basing the remaining Blackstone Fortress characters and practically finished painting Torris and Garrakson's minis. I remembered that Garrakson had a scarred-up face, so painted them on, which was good practice for it/when I get up the courage to paint on the big-ass scar on Attelus' mini's face. Also finished making my crew for Five Parsecs from Home.

Started the work on my converted Toxicrene here. Using spare Leviathan models (namely, Screamer Killer and Psychophage), I'm using those as a base and using the Toxicrene bits I have (from building a Maleceptor) to create one that will be easier to use in-game (ie: won't be triple as large as it needs to be).

The Maleceptor is magnetized but I wanted something a bit more permanent and different for a Toxicrene (because yes, I want to field one!).

Ran through a couple of games of the excellent Bag the Hun, losing both in spectacular style as the RAF once again bagged many Huns.

good fun though, have to try some larger scenarios for this

and then back to paint Napoleonic stuff to run with Sharpe Practice next week

Built 5 more things out of the backlog box - 4 random fantasy/D&D type figures + a Catachan Sgt LE that's been sitting about for a few years now.

Based a crap ton of minis and did more research on how to play Five Parsecs from Home.

Got 1/3 of a box of Skaven Gnawholes built whole playing in an extremely boring D&D game this afternoon.
1 more to go....

Putting gnawholes together is just tedious.
Now I remember why I've only had the one assembled for nearly a year.

Finishing up some of the new butchers for Kings of War.

This evening I've got to get a few Eldar finished up (& hopefully base coated) so that they can hit the table Sunday.

In-between sessions of greenstuff for my Toxicrene conversion, I've took out and built my Contemptor for my Custodes. Got a (recast) Forgeworld variant with a bit more flair than the plain and ugly regular one, magnetized the arms (4 total), and modified the head a bit to make it not as space marine-y (filled out the grill to have a "knight-like" front like other Custodes Dreads, and greenstuffed a laurel on top of the helm).

It being the 1st Wednesday after the end of the school holidays, we had my mini wargaming club for the kids today. Grimdark Future: Firefight. One of the kids used the character he designed, and I made it in Hero Forge; had printed it, which he'd begun painting, and he was very happy about that. I made rules for him in the Army Forge Studio App, as part of a robot faction for the robot minis I have lying around the kids liked. So that was cool.

Afterwards, I made a lot of progress on my Hero Forge Inquisitor Arlathan Karkin mini, as well as a mini of Jarvus, both from Secret War. Jarvus was killed off literally in the first few sentences. But I made him because I was planning on playing a campaign of Planet 28 about Attelus Kaltos and his team during the six months before the beginning of Secret War but never got around to it. Might make him an enemy merc of something for Five Parsecs from Home and a random Throne Agent for my Inquisition faction in Grimdark Future/GFF: Firefight.

A little bit more work on my 2nd Autarch conversion tonight & my 1k pt, Ranger themed Eldar force should be all finished.

Autarchs finished!
They're supposed to be Wayleapers armed with Reaper Launchers & Glaives.
But because I built them using Ranger bits, to better fit with my Eldari Rangers, there's no good way to attach wings.... :(
So I gave them each a bike & scenic base (WiP)to show thier mobility!
(The elves are magnetized)

Now to get them base coated.

Oh, and an Illic Nightspear custom! - that's not made of Finecrap & costs insane $$ for a space-elf with sniper rifle.
(He's the only plastic foot Ranger in my force, so zero chance of him blending into the old metal ranger squads)

Pretty much completed painting Inquisitor Arlathan Karkin and Jarvus today. I also began assembling a new not-Hellhound tank that arrived yesterday. The 3D printing wasn't quite the most, uhh, stable? But I managed to fix it somewhat, and it's a damned cool tank. I've gotta do my not-Chimera next, I guess...

Overall though they're super low on the skill lv as far as conversions go.
Really just mixing & matching Autarch & Ranger bitz right off the sprues with a few simple cuts & trims involved.

No prob, too bad autarchs and such can't benefit from cameleoline cloaks and such.

Anyway, on a whim, I magnetised my flamer tank. It wasn't fun super glue all over my fingers yaddy yaddy ya but it was worth it. Began to assemble my APC too.

Finished the next five old metal Harlequins, now I have to photograph them.

Playing ecw from Mike Lambo and mostly losing. Also played bb7s and lost 3-0. Feels like 7th edition whfb when I lost every weekly game at the lgs for a year ?

Practically finished the medicae lady from the Rogue Trader lady's crew and began on the assassin chick. I think they'll make great members of my Inquisition crew. Trying to make them look like individuals despite their similar decor. I plan on doing the weird Tech Priest guy next.

Built a pair of customized Autarchs from left over eldar bitz this evening. I doubt either will ever be used.
But it was either use up the bitz or chuck them, so....

Working on spare metal and plastic heavy weapons for alternates. To be used for platforms or War Walkers.

Making bases for some Black Seas ships.
They'll be transparent 2 ply bases roughly the width of an old GW "horse base".

I'm making them 2 ply so that the little cardstock wake/speed marker will slot in the rear.
It looks cool but - I hate clutter on the board & find it annoying to constantly have to move that marker around with each boat. And a few seem to have been lost. :( This should solve all of that.

I'm going to start by using the plastic from an old poster frame.
If that proves too thick I'll just pick up a pack of overhead projector transparency sheets tomorrow & try again.

I'm making them clear so that I don't have to paint them. Ocean mats already blue.

Finished my Neurogaunts, Neurotyrant and his two Neuroloid, and this complete me (1st) set of Leviathan!

Did a few minutes on the Eldar weapons,
