Hmm, I haven't downloaded but I liked the outro you posted and I listed to annihilation on youtube. You certainly got skills. I'll gladly pirate your album once you hit it big

In your head, screwing with your thoughts...

I listened to Annihilation from the youtube video again, and I must say, once I got past the 'this is nowhere near anything I normally listen to' thought, I kept listening and found that, regular tastes or not, I was liking it. There's no denying the talent behind the music.
If I had to suggest one thing, tune up the vocals more in the mix! This isn't the type of music I would tend to blast, but I found that without turning it up a bit louder than I would have liked I couldn't make out the lyrics. Not that they aren't clear, but they seem a bit overwhelmed by the rest of the track. Namean?

Well, David Byrne said ""Singing is a trick to get people to listen to music for longer than they would ordinarily."

Anyway, I hope that when you guys get signed, you can continue with the 'pay as you want' method of direct download. It makes me actually want to pay for my music for once.

I listened to Soap Charge - I quite liked it, actually! I was worried that it would be pop-punk in the Blink-182/Good Charlotte mode (which I HATE ), but it was proper old-school hard-core punk, bags of attitude. Which is good. I hate all that 'baggy-shorts' ska-punk nonsense that so many modern 'punk' bands peddle - it's just dorky.

But no, Soap Charge's stuff was cool. Give them the 'thumbs up' from me.

As soon as you said it was proper old-school punk, I had to listen to it.

It's not too bad "We Don't Care" reminds me of The Strangler's "Shut Up."

Hopefully at some point. A lot depends on how this year goes, but the folks at the label have alluded to the possibility. A lot of things have to occur this year for it to happen, though.

And it won't be a tour - it'll be a few dates at most.

With the strength of the first album you will do well, I am sure of it. Not keen on the remixes though but I like the direction that you're going in.

Well if you guys do come to the states, theres a rock bar in Flint called the Machine shop that would catch you alot of coverage. Infact alot of bigger named bands stop in there all the time for shows.
Hell Mushroomhead was in there a few months ago, and Kid Rock occasionally swings in to tear the place down.

Hi Dakkanauts! It's been a busy few months - all sorts of projects in the offing (more details as they are confirmed), and we've been working on some new material.

As you lot have been really supportive with this whole thing, I thought it might be nice to record a few stripped-down versions of some new stuff, which we will be posting in various places from time to time. Anyhow, here's the first one:

Thank-you all very much for all your support!

Yeah, it's a 'rhodes' sound with delay. You didn't think we'd use a piano as a normal piano, did you?

Nice work mate, I'm looking forward to the second album.

Cheers buddy! Might be a while off yet, we'll have to get the single/tour out of the way first, plus we're working on a fething mental project at present... can't say too much at this point (in case it all falls through for some reason) but it involves a brass band and a short film. Srsly.

I highly recommend it, bloody good stuff indeed.

It's almost like Elbow, Radiohead and moby were thrown in a blender with (presumably) Alby's lyrical and vocal talent; the result is awesome is every sense of the word.

(clever way of pushing this thread to the top of the forum)

This is the most accurate description for this. I've listened to the album a bunch recently, and came to this conclusion myself (independently).

On a boat, Trying not to die.

I never knew your speaking voice was that awesome.

However, the singing voice is... Intoxicating. You ever heard of Mad World? It would be a perfect song for a cover for you guys.

Or perhaps REM's Losing my Religion?

I'll give a +1 to Mad World. i'd bet Dresden could knock it out of the park.

Chowder you are a genius, I'm not sure how alby would sound with some of the high notes in mad world but if they pulled it off it would sound incredible.

EDIT: I take it back, he hits the notes in Scars, mad world will be a triumphant doddle.
