I've been debating with myself for while whether or not it would be a good idea to post this - it's shameless self-promotion, and I'm opening myself up to some pretty easy jabs...

For the past...forever ( ), my band Dresden has been working on a debut album. We've recorded, produced and mastered it all ourselves, and have decided to release it directly, rather than undergo what might be an ultimately futile attempt to get a record company to release it for us. Instead of printing up a load of CDs and trying to flog them at gigs, we've taken a slightly different approach - we're releasing it only as a download. As costs are kept very low by doing it this way, we thought the fairest thing to do would be to simply give it away. The amounts we would have made by selling a physical product would have been negligable, and we hope that we might be able to create a little bit of goodwill (and therefore support) by just making it free.

I probably will check it out, but how sweary is it? Might have to wait for a while because I get yelled at when I listen to sweary stuff.

@Slarg - It's not sweary at all, really. Was only kidding about the 'vagina' thing.

I think one of the tracks contains a swear-word, but it isn't very distinct.

It's pretty good overall. Tracks 3-5 are enjoyable; I'm not a huge fan of the first two, and I haven't listened to the last three.

Don't take my word for it. I'm no music expert.

This is really good. It's nice to listen to something new for once. I especially love track #2. Keep up the good work guys!
