Hmm...

3000-ish points of Deathwatch.
8000 points of Necrons.
12,000 points of Ultramarines.
12,000 points of Tyranids.
30,000 points of Guard (incl. Inquisitorial forces & my Super Heavy Regiment)
30,000 points of Chaos (incl. distinct World Eater and Death Guard forces)

There’s also 1200-1500 of Tau that a friend gave me, but they’re more for 40K RPG purposes than for playing 40K (I’d never willingly play Tau... ick! *shudder*). There's also some Ork stuff that probably comes out to around 1000 points, and an Adeptus Mechanicus army that, I 'spose, would work out around 2000-3000 points if you were using equivalencies from various armies.

57,000 pts of Orks and about 6,000 sitting in boxes, including 3 stompas ( just have to get over my tau building inclinations to work on them )

27,500 pts of Tau with around 4,000 pts of tau Aux (humans and such)

14,000 pts of imperial guard mainly tanks and such but a few full platoons of mech infantry.

I use to have alot more, but a ex-wife happened to them.

Now i am working on my Dust tactics armies, my new addiction it seems.

and note on the orcs only maybe 25% are painted..its quite a effort to paint so many of those green buggers.

I've been collecting for about 8 years and I've only got 1300 points of eldar. Then again I did trade of a lot of my old Chaos to help my groupmates get 2000 points of Nids, 2000 points of Tau, apox. 2000 orks. I was quite glad that someone besides me was interested.

I've never done a decent count that I can recall. I know I've got somewhere in the neighborhood of 3-3.5k points, total, split between Orks and Space Marines. Painting has been mostly focused on the Orks, which have more models, by far, but with the relative costs and number of vehicles, the points split is probably pretty even.

I've been collecting citadel miniatures for 25 or so years, so the numbers build up. Of course I have collected and sold off probably 4 times what I currently list in my sig as active 40k armies as well. Have had one of just about every 40k army (except Tau) and multiples of some as well (2 space marine armies, 2 nurgle and slaanesh armies and 2 IG armies). Of course this thread doesn't cover the 6 WHFB armies I've had (conveniently two of them were old school chaos and undead which each got split into two different armies that I didn't necessarily have enough of either of to continue playing), or mordheim, necromunda, epic, and blood bowl minis either.

These days I have the luxury of a 6 figure income and a wife who went weird and left me so I can buy as many toys as I want now without "asking permission". That helps pad the figures now. Heck just bought most of my renegades just in the last year along with the starting bits of my Dark Eldar which are not out of the boxes yet so not shown in the sig yet. Also had purchased the start of a new tyranid army which I am now working to sell off instead. Just found myself with so much less mini building time now. 2 armies presently in the queue is more than I can deal with at the moment. That income doesn't come free after all have to spend plenty of my time earning it.

I am trying to be good and not buying anymore Dark Eldar until I build what I have already purchased. This is definitely new territory for me. I've always been a "Buy the whole army and build it eventually" type collector. Have to see if I can stick to my guns. So far I've been mostly successful with that plan.
