More great stuff, Varl!
Not a fan of the Vulkan model, but you've really brought out the best in it!

cheers, slinky! yeah, I'm not a fan of the model either. it's got some great detail on it, but the pose is kinda silly and then there's the finecast problems... but, at least he's recognizable

As someone who's been spending a lot of time painting Salamanders lately, I have to say this is a fantastic looking army, I only wish I had my models 100% finished and looking as nice as yours!
The green you've used is certainly much different from the green I myself envisaged Salamanders as being, but it really works, especially en masse.

cheers JBrehaut (and pardon the tardy response) I'm not honestly sure how I ended up deciding on goblin green for the base. in hindsight, it's a bit flat. I wish I'd have gone with something a bit more emerald-y, but I'm committed now :p
good luck with your salamanders!

hi gang,
just a quick update today. stormtalon #2 is finished:
practice definitely helps, as the pre-shading technique I used on the original talon came out much cleaner the second time around. changed up some of the details on the paint scheme a bit, but it's generally the same idea. also changed up how I did the metals(more drybushing, less edge highlighting) and made of point of spending less time on detail that would ultimately be hidden (i.e., some of the stuff in the cockpit).
this is going to wrap up work on my salamanders army for the foreseeable future.I'll probably continue to add new units here and there, but for the most part I'll be shifting focus to my long-neglected night lords army. for those interested, the P&M blog for that army can be found here.
cheers and thanks for visiting!
