Tac squads are one of the ebst units in the game, IMO.

They're an amazing troop choice that can fit anyone's needs

My favourite configuration for tactical squad's is the flamer and multi-melta, without the salamanders bit.

I personally like that setup, or Las and plas, or Missile and flamer.

Plasma guns are alright, and I liek doing a basic missile launcher flamer combo, but I dislike lascannon's, due to their high prices, though tactical squads do offset this cost alot.

They get them the cheapest. Plus, you can combat squad so ten guys aren't just hanging out in the back.

I tend to ignore the combat squad rule. Its one of the greatetst advantages of space marines, and I always forget to use it.

I've been learning to use it more frequently. It's becoming quite helpful!

I think when you start using razorback's, you tend to sue it more. Either that or your ten man terminator squad keeps deep strike mishapping.

Ugh! A 460ish point squad mishapping? That makes me almost faint at the idea!

I think a thunderhawk is about the only thing with the ability to carry then terminators (11 including a terminator armoured hq, but not including the other vehicles that can come with it).

Most likely. And I'm not about to go out and buy a thunderhawk.

I find it funny that thunderhawk's use to eb about twice the size and made of metal. They would have been arm-breaking to carry.

Oh Emperor yes. That must have been an annoying model to carry around.

I think the original baneblades were as well, except they weighed even more. Not sure about the baneblades though.

I know that land raider's and land raider crusader's use to be metal, which was extremely painful.

That in all honesty is terrifying. It brings a whole new meaning to killing your opponent with the model.

I could imagine going to an outside tourney on a really hot day and getting burnt by my own land raider.

My Alpha Legion should be started soon. I have all the pieces in place, and I think I have all the plans set up for it. 2000pts is kind of foggy however, as I'm still not entirely sure about dedicating 500pts to Pedro and his sternguard. I'm on the line with the idea, so I'll have to figure it out soon.

I think the points dedicated are worth ti since you like want sternguard and pedro makes them heaps better.

That is sad. I hope they fix that. I mean, I seriously think Terminators should be boosted a little bit. At least give them two wounds!

They should at least differentiate veteran sergeants a bit, since they have the same stats as normal veterans.

Maybe give sternguard +1 to their BS? And Vanguard +1 to their WS? Seems reasonable, considering that they're vets.
