Mentors looks awesome (though I don't know much about them). And Templars are pretty awesome to, though not much experience against them.

They're the testbed for a majority of new technology that's been approved by the Imperium, and they loan squads to other armies (like other SM chapters and Imperial Guard regiments) to learn from their fighting styles and learn more about their enemies. Basically they're book worms! XD I'm going to get more advice on how to run em.

They sound awesome. Read the wiki and apprently they all have a dmeon put in them and exorcised to increase their resistance

I'm currently working on all of these armies, but I'm also getting back into Hordes/Warmachine as well! So my Space Marines will be taking a break most likely.

Anyways, idk anything about CSM but I wish you luck with the escalation battles or whatever else you're going to use the list(s) for.

They are being played from the SM book, so I can use my venerable dreads and other loyalist units. I might turn em into a homebrew chapter.

Also, if the rumors about chaos marines later this year are true, there might be venerable dreadnoughts for chaos later this year.

Wait, there's a rumor for a Chaos Venerable Dreadnought!?

I saw a couple, but it may also be new variants that normal marines don't have, which will hopefully be just as awesome or better than venerable dreadnought's.

Main rumor seems to be h.q choices make things like beserkers and plague marines more powerful.

Apparently there are also variants of terminators as well, though not so sure about this one.

What variants would there be?

It sounded like normal, then cult terminators (such as plague marine terminators), then anoited terminators who were the best of the best.

What do Anoited Termies do?

I think their the chaos equivalent of grey knight paladins but with no apothecaries, less weapons and access to marks and no psychic powers.
Not 100% sure though.

If they exist, and have models as cool as the Paladins, I'm buying a box!

Wow. I might have to buy two codexes, the starter set, and the new rulebook then!

Could always use the mini rulebook that comes with thew starter set, but I suppose that would mean waiting the two months of not playing 6th for the starter set to come out.

I'm sure I can wait that long. I'll need enough time to gather 100 bucks.

I remember when our starter sets cost $100. Anyways, I think the starter set will be worth it. Black reach was a great starter set, so I think I will like it.

Well compared to maccrage, black reach was magnificent. Still miss the terrain from macragge though.

Maybe they'll add it back in?
