Are you going to add any apoc things in when you get to 3000 points?

I have looked at titans. But I never know what to make of them, considering I've never used one.

I have considered different Land Raider variants, as some of them look (and are) freaking amazing. I really, REALLY want a Contemptor Dreadnought for this army.

It looks awesome, but I don't know if it counts as a super heavy. Not all forgeworld stuff is. I have seen titans in action. It seems that the only thing that can take them down are a full army against them or other super heavies.

I think some varieties of Land Raiders do, I'm just not sure.

Really? When I read the armor, it seemed like a fancy Land raider with scary guns. I have no understanding of void shields or structure points anyway, so I bet thats what I'm missing from this equation.

Sorry, when I said I'm not sure its super heavy, I was referring to the dreadnought. Worded it wrong.
The land raider variants are absolutely awesome, and I do think they count as super-heavies.

Yes! I have a few favorites. Forget most of the names, but I do LOVE the Achilles variant. Thunderfire cannon plus TL multi-melta sponsons? Count me in! I also like the Ares and Ultra variants.

Not sure which one it is, but the redeemer with the punisher cannon was my favorite.

I think that's the Ares. It has TL flamer sponsons, and basically a vindicator strapped on the front of it.

Which one had the whirlwind missile launcher on the front?

Oh, ok. Iv'e been getting my forgeworld land raider's completely mixed up. Its been awhile since Iv'e looked at them, so that's probably the reason. Isn't there one with a thunderfire cannon as well.

It's okay I browse FW a lot, so I know quite a few of the names. Yeah, thats the Achilles Variant. I love it so much. I think I'd get that for my Alpha Legion.

I thought you had to include the terminators in the list at 1000.

No, it was too expensive point wise at 1000pts. I wanted to include them in the army, but when I had enough of a base to throw them in.

I think where you have them at the moment works at 2000.

Yeah, I hope they make a good addition to my army.

Terminators work well for my crimson fists whenever I play them, even better with a land raider redeemer.

That was the transport I was thinking of throwing them in.

I am not a fan of the other two, so I am automatically bias towards the redeemer.

I like the Redeemer and Crusader. The regular variant is only in certain cases.

I do prefer a crusader to standard, but I just find a tactical squad can do just as well for a cheaper point cost.

when in doubt, always throw in a tactical squad! They're the best resource SM's get!

Tactical squad's and sternguard a ten man strength in rhino's are the best units.

They most certainly are. I also enjoy Dreadnought lists, but sadly, with all the melta going around nowadays, it's hard to field.


Do you by any chance know anything about Warmachine?

I have heard of it and seen a couple of pictures, but other than that, no sorry.

Melta only kills dreads close up, so go rifleman dread with twin autocannons. Any transport gets killed long before the melta-clad contents get near.

Hm, yes that's true. I'd also be worried about other anti-tank things, as there are some long ranges ones. Other than that, it's expensive point wise to field. I'd say 1500+ for Dread lists.
