Very interesting (times are finnish but poland is in the same timezone):

29th january 6am:
Payment for your order was successfully processed.

29th january 6am:
Order confirmation

23th february 2am:
Your order has been shipped.

Nice to see that order is finally shipped but the time it took to ship is almost double what was said (when I ordered I think it was 5-10 days to ship, now 12 and total is 19 working days).

I ordered dragonfly for my squats, warbus for my orks and magnets. I'm guessing that the warbus delayed the order (propably one of the oldest moulds puppetswar has).

Every time I hear "in my opinion" or "just my opinion" makes me want to strangle a puppy. People use their opinions as a shield that other poeple can't critisize and that is bs.

If you can't defend or won't defend your opinion then that "opinion" is bs. Stop trying to tip-toe and defend what you believe in.

Nothing. I was about to ask why it takes so long to ship but as I check the dates from my email I notice my stuff has been shipped. I'm guessing it will take a week or two for my stuff to arrive.

At the beginning of February in this category, monthly will be placed products with discount

So, has anyone received the Dragonfly yet? I'm very curious and would like to see pics, particularly a size comparison with that wingspan...

Thank you . I'd seen that but hadn't realized he had scale shots at the bottom of the blog, apparently I didn't scroll all the way down . Looks like a great match size-wise, though.

Edit: Puppetswar contacted me via dakka PM about 12 hours after posting this, and has stated they'll send replacements, and that the parts I received were all from the "miscast pile". I'll update the post accordingly once I get the new package. Thanks at least so far go to Puppetswar for the quick turnaround on the forum.

Normally I don't do these, but this time I feel compelled to do a review of a purchase I recently received from Puppetswar

I ordered a set of steampunk guardsmen head previously to test out their quality, and received the products, and they were of a good quality, so I ordered 3 of the Missile Turret MK2's.

The MK2's are supposed to come with the following components, displayed in the pictures here from their website:

Mine came looking like this, I don't have the cover to the turret, or the power plant like item that sits on the back of the turret. In addition, the casting quality is very poor. There's a large defect on the front of one turret (you can see the flaps, it goes in from there and is brittle) and bubbles which removed the tips of multiple missiles (picture of a couple just to show, they're almost all like that), the mounting plates that are the base of the thing are all warped/not flapped - probably fixable using hot water, but im unsure with how thick the piece is and how multidirectional the warp is on one, and bubble holes all over other pieces that are visible. Heck, I can see daylight through both the back corners of the turret! Overall, I'm pretty disappointed in both the quality and the lack of several pieces - the pictures below are the most noticeable defects, but there's plenty more of them that I just got tired of trying to photograph and highlight. I'm emailing customer service, and we'll see what response I get. However, after waiting a month for these...ugh

Prior to this my first order with puppetswar was positive, but this one is quite a kick in the pants. Guess I won't be using these for the GT this weekend..

Well that's disappointing. Thanks for sharing though. I have been keeping those turrets on my 'want' list for a while.

I've said before, PuppetsWar has GREAT designs, but I don't think their production quality is quite up to par with some other companies out there yet. Hopefully they will get there, cause I really do like their designs and concepts.

However, I think it may be best to contact CS first before putting them on blast. Just a thought.

If it were a small issue, I would probably wait - mind you, their customer service is purely via a web form, so I can't even send them the photos as far as I can tell because I can't locate an email address. However, a small issue is one thing and this is another. I essentially have an unuseable order - not only is it defective, it's flat out missing pieces from all 3 turrets. Even if I wanted to fix the multiple of bubble holes, cut away the defective pieces and resculpt, etc., I still wouldn't have lids/roofs or that power plant looking thing on the back. I'll be the first to say they did an amazing job fixing the issue, if they do, but the fact remains that reviews are there to review the entire service/order, not just the good, and not just the bad, and not just after the fact. Even if they send out replacements, I'm not going to be amazingly happy, because I waited a month to get an order that never should have left their hands if they'd of looked at it in the first place, just to wait another month, to maybe get what I paid for to begin with.

I have had some small issues with about half the things that I ordered. Nothing that I couldn't fix though, but there was added work involved.

I agree, you can forgive small problems or the occasional miss pack

But even with that the holes in the turrets should sent them to the reject bin

(or if they had to salvage some money from them sell them as miscasts for converters to mess with)

Do you have the order-confirmation emails they send in your inbox?

I got a wrong product a while back (wrong kind of shoulderpads).
They did reply fast, when I emailed them to that adress and send me replacements (with bonii).

I think that was a valuable review, and the pics were really helpful- it wasn't a "blast" at Puppets War at all.

Hopefully they respond promptly and are able to get you replacements.

You propably got parts from the miscast pile. Some dude who made a review from the orc warbus had accidentally received parts from the miscast pile.

Points taken. You are right.

Honestly, how does anyone 'accidentally' package 'miscast pile' parts and ship them out? I mean really? Do they put the miscasts in the exact same container as the good stuff, instead of a damn trash can?

I think they use the miscasts, instead of throwing them away (i.e. likely give them to a friend, sell for cheap locally, or keep for themselves to repair etc?). But yeah, apparently it needs some hazard tape around it now

Great to hear that it is being addressed quickly!

Yep - I find it a bit silly I got 3 turrets, all from the miscast pile, and still missing pieces. But, at the end of the day you can't fault a company too heavily that replied within 12 hours and said they'd send out replacements.

Though I will note, I sent a message through their website to customer service and posted here at the same time, but got a response via Dakka PM. Seems their forum man is on the tip top of his game! (If they're different people)

I'll update once I receive replacements/etc. from puppets war on the quality/timeframe. Still a bit bummed because I submitted a locked list to a GT for this upcoming weekend, knowing via package tracking I'd have these, and now I'm going to have to hassle the organizer to let me change my list a bit. But that's life!

Tbh the casting quality on those turrets is about the same as my space warriors lots of mold slips and flash lines and bubbles. :(

Anyway after about 2hrs clean up ( finecast all is forgiven ) they paint up really nicely.

Looks like they need some advice on how to cut their molds after putting the masters into RTV...

I wonder how much pressure they are using to cast also, if they would go a bit higher, maybe 60-80 psi they wouldn't have those voids on the missiles that I see.

My gunship came today. I haven't yet assembled it, but my initial look-over is pretty good. There are some small bits of mold slip towards the tail, but it's nothing unusual and within acceptable limits for this type of product. I was a little surprised by how large it was, when assembled it's about as big as a Valkyrie (I believe someone posted a size comparison on a previous page, but still surprising to me). The pieces fit together quite well when dry-fitted, almost like a snap-tite kit. On the whole I'm pretty pleased with this.

Nice paintjob, CURNOW . Unfortunately, those models aren't "different" enough from normal marines for a lot of people to spring for them, given the price, if they remain mono-pose... imo, of course. However, I think they'd be worth it in modular form. And yours does look really good.

Ouze, thanks for the update and looking forward to seeing you put it together

Well, my order finally arrived.
When I placed the order the items were listed as available and their delivery info said items would be shipped up to 7 working days after payment.
After 7 working days my order still showed as payment accepted.
I sent an email politely inquiring about the status of my order and was told that shipment took up to 10 working days. I politely suggested they update their delivery information on the site (It has since been updated to 12 working days).
Their email also stated: "This means that your order should be sent no later than Friday, February 15 "

On the 19th of February I received an email stating my order had shipped. Ok. No big deal.

My order just arrived, in a very battered box. Well, that's not their fault, damn mail services.
I am at work but opened the box to have a quick look.
There is almost no protective packaging. The plastic bags that would usually be filled with air to cushion the contents are deflated.
There are broken pieces in the bottom of the box.
Having had a quick look over the larger items, they are covered in air pockets, broken pieces and large amounts of excess resin. I always expect to do some mould line cleaning and flashing, but this is going to take some work, and liquid green.
I've not looked into the bag containing the smaller parts, I'm not optimistic.

In short; I won't be ordering from puppets war again, which is a shame as I really like the look of their models. But the quality, customer service and packaging is disappointing to say the least.

Last time I ordered from them was 10 months ago, and everything was fine. Fast processing, fast shipping, good packaging, pretty decent quality casts.

I wonder if they are growing too fast.
