Hehe, apparently a lot of people agree judging from the exhaustive google results.

I'm still annoyed with Karl...
Spoiler:
Most famous Thracian in pop culture is Spartacus.
The name Karl is German/Scandinavian and first use dates it to late 7th century/early 8th which has very little to do with both the origin, area and culture of "Thrace". Granted this is shlock and I should not care, but then why base the character on a culture and place that existed and then break that setup with silly inaccuracies? Just put him in a made up place and I'd have no problem. Just like I have no problem with monsters and werewolves as they are not factual. ARRRGH... I'm only annoyed because I want this to be good, but beside the nifty monsters it's looking quite underwhelming. I'm not that old, but this makes me feel older than Karl. Is this game aimed at preteens? Are all games aimed it preteens? Have I finally grown up? I am having a slight crisis.

If centuries old teenage vamps are up next, molded in glitter and accompanied by underage fawning school girls - there is nothing that's gonna make me touch this

As a stand alone figure, yeah sculpting is top notch.

And yet ...a shirtless, hunky Erik Northman with equally shirtless Sookie Stackhouse, Pam and Tara might be the only thing that makes me buy in!

Ahem.

More seriously, I do sometimes wonder why Paolo seemingly never tried to go the Alberto Vargas/Olivia De Berardinis route of sexy girl/pinup pic careers?

While I like Charlaine Harris' vampires and shape changers, I absolutely detest Stephanie Meyer's creations for so many reasons...

Too similar to Karl and the bios are just getting weird now, the "heroes" revealed so far are kind of letting the side down.

What a mish-mash of character traits. He's listed as "slow-witted," but is adept at chess and strategy games? "Disdains violence" but is built like the Hulk and carries a meathook on a chain? What in the world were they thinking?

In his defense, being slow witted but good at chess is totally fine if you have a lot of time to think things through and move your bits.

But yeah, I agree with you.

After reading those wacky Zombicide profiles, these don't even remotely surprise me.

It's almost like they wrote up a bunch of profiles, shuffled them together, and doled them out to random pieces of artwork.

None of them seem to match any more!

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

I think they messed it up somewhere.

Bios presented by the Mad Lib corporation. It explains the blood type of "poops".

To be fair from a psychological personality perspective and a biological knowledge of mental development his bio actually makes sense but you need to know how those things work. In regards to slow-witted and yet great at chess those are clear signs that he is what is called an "Autistic Savant" (Know previously as an idiot savant but that is no longer politically correct). As well as being really gentle but built like the hulk that is just someone who is really open to suggestion, aka it seems like he is a puppet for his sister (who ever she is), also someone with delayed processing capabilities, is a lot more likely to listen to someone they trust ect so that plays even more a long those lines of being used by his sister. To be fair I am not saying it is a great bio but I am also saying the bio makes sense. Also it appears to say he is 5.... so maybe he has the mentality of a child and just does whatever his sister says even if he doesn't like it? That's another idea.

Even if the bio makes sense, in some odd way, then I'd have to say that the graphic design doesn't. But hopefully, it will all get clearer later on when we get a full picture.

well if the heroes have underwhelmed so far the monsters have certainly compensated for it

Sloth is the best creature yet! The heroes are forgettable so far (and putting in more fetish sex appeal won't help), but the monsters might tip this into the win category for me, too. We'll see.

Nice, but...I can't shake the Sedition Wars Stigma here.

These resin masters are great - but in PVC?

Maybe not so much.

Don't worry. The shrinkage will only affect her legs, arms, and gun. Her chest will be unaffected.

Also, that werewolf has a clinical case of Mantic's Syndrome.

The sculptor cut the eye borders mnuch deeper than what might be usual. Maybe this is to be sure they translate well to PVC tooling.

I like the were wolf with the exception on the legs. They need to be longer.

Werewolf's head is HUGE and the arm anatomy is........off. And the pose looks forced and stilted. Probably has to do with base size more than anything else. Pity though as that model could have been a heavy hitter for the line.

The chick is well done though!

I really hope its the angle of the photo as having Mantic/PP torso syndrome will really not help this project!

I'm just not fond of the wolf standing on his sword. Looks weird to me.

As does the sword itself. It appears to have a hinge in it. And either the wolf is slicing his foot, or the edge stops on that one part. Kind of weak sculpt all around, particularly compared to the others.

So Sloth was done by Remy

http://studiomcvey.com/sloth/

We’ve been working away on The Others for some time now, and have started showing some of the fruits of our labours over on our Facebook page.

We recently showed a rotation of the resin master of one of the Sins – Sloth, so I thought I would share some larger pictures of the original sculpt here. This one is by Remy Tremblay, who has really been the corner-stone of the whole range, and the work he has done for this project is some of the best I have ever seen.

The hard thing to get across with the sculpts of the Sins, is the size of them, so I need to take some comparison shots – but they are pretty huge. Sloth is over 60mm tall and very wide and bulky.

I’ll show more of the original sculpts, and soon the painted versions, on this site and over at the Studio McVey and The Others Facebook pages.

mike

and rest
