Like most things, i'm pretty sure it is an extremely loud, obnoxious minority yelling the same thing(s) over and over trying to get their way when no one really cares.

I like when women dress in revealing clothes (honestly I think it's the only way to play skyrim)
I see nothing wrong with women going to platic surgery to look like something else.
I see nothing wrong in cultures mythology being altertered in media.

What I don't get is why people get so butthurt about these things.

Perhaps you might try to imagine you dislike all the things that you like at the moment, and see if that would change your feelings in any way.

It might not. He might have a live and let live attitude, an attitude that too few people have these days.

I don't think there's anything wrong with a live and let live attitude, but that's not the same thing as an attitude that there's nothing wrong.

No one has claimed in this thread that there is a problem with either of those things. If you think anyone has, you've not been paying attention to this thread or the debate on this issue as a whole. EDIT: Go reread the first two posts in this thread. They're not about skimply dressed women in general. They're about why nearly every woman is not only skimply dressed baring about 6 (in a game with over 50 female champions) but why a developer produced an Asian goddess that doesn't look Asian (which is a separate issue no one has really taken up).

I suggest you reread something on basic moral relativity. It's not an argument that morals can't be judged merely an accounting that moral question may have more than one correct answer. Now, back to the immersion point. I just saw a picture on 9gag that shows a good example of me really disliking a designer's decision and not buying a game to support it:



This is breaking immersion. Period. From normal sized boobs to giant monster boobs from boobstown is just slowed. It heavily breaks immersion as an established character suddenly looks completely different not because of any actual reason, but because someone decided that the game needs more boobs.

Second point, a bit disconnected, but alas:

Actually, the whole issue about sexy women being "enforced" upon the audience could be a lot worse, as in the same thing happening with fat women. Few things make me as angry as that lousy "Hey, if you like your body, it's awesome, except you weighting 300 pounds!". Size 0 is terrible as well, but strifing for an attractive body is an actually good goal (for BOTH men and women). Being fat is unhealthy and bad and everything should be done to make people not want to be / stay fat.

Why should fictional asian goddess in a fictional western moba look asian?

Jesus is portrayed white in most artwork but people don't have problem with that so why should they have problem with this?

Except that the decision was made by Tencent, a Chinese company licensed to distribute Smite in Asia. Surely you read the opening post which linked to an article talking about the Westernization phenomena in China. I assume no one really picked up on that issue because most of us are American, Canadian, and British, so that issue is really inconsequential to us

We have bigger problems to worry about. Like whether or not real bacon is superior to Canadian bacon, which being real it clearly is better
