Regardless of what Anita is and isn't, having some knowledge of the material at hand seems necessary to make statements regarding her videos.

I just want to know why sig thinks that about her and I'm not going through a bunch of videos that I'm not interested in watching, especially if it turns out sig is wrong and now I feel like I've just wasted my time trying to figure out what he saw that he thought was misandric when he could simply tell me.

There isn't really anything in her videos that suggests she hates men.

Sorry, but I really don't want to get this topic heated up again. The old threads should still be there and her videos might still be online to make your own opinion of her. She isn't gone with her entire record scraped from the internet. She is still making videos even. I don't know where you would have gotten the impression that she vanished.

You should watch them though, not because of what some fantasists believe, but because they aren't terribly long and they actually are fairly interesting. I wouldn't marathon them or anything, but if you like TED talks on sociological issues you would probably get some mild enjoyment out of these as well.

The issue is that games frequently portray women as walking tits wearing next to nothing. I don't mind a bit of cheesecake myself but the problem is that this portrayal seems to be the norm and that games that give an accurate portrayal of women are lauded. That is sad.

I have meet people who believe that. They even made a handful fair arguments about it. I didn't agree with their conclusions, but I understood why they thought the way they did,

How about when women are unhealthily weak? I don't know why, but when I hear of some lady breaking her hip when she fell over because she's undernourished, it annoys me. I worked with a little old lady in my physical labor job, half the 20-something year old girls (who normally work in the lab) do an awkward waddle when they carry a single 20Kg bucket while the little (less than 5 feet tall) old lady carries one in each hand. Do ladies nowadays actively avoid laborious tasks or what?

Is this an annoying opinion to have? Considering my older brother accepts that his wife being as weak as she is, to be normal. I disagreed.

I agree that you should watch them, though. They're unintentionally quite funny. Though if you've actually played a game in your life (unlike Ms. Sarkeesian), they'll make you angry with the inaccuracies at several points.

Fortunately, opinions do not constitute facts, regardless of how strongly some people try to marginalise and ridicule their opponents - apparently believing that this is the strongest weapon in their armoury.

It's kind of disrespectful, but then again, I find this deliciously ironic given the topic.

Given that I can't figure out how we got to this page's posts from the starting point, that's a good sign that the topic is lost, and so is the thread.
