I must admit I'm suprised we haven't seen more P&M blogs. I'm sure they'll start appearing though as more people get their models.

Could you link to this please, I've just looked and can't see the streets, just the buildings (I could be blind though)

Brilliant thanks mate

There are some delays with production, as the first injection moulding machine needed some repairs and the second ordered one was delivered late. Preorders should be completed end of next week though.

gojira01 wrote:Just thought I would share some observations on the models now that I have put some together. 1. No real complaints some small bubbles on the scourge that destroyed some eye lenses but you can hardly see them anyway. 2. Contray to what has been put out you do need to wash or at least prime the models. I attempted to undercoat without priming or washing the model using GW black and the model repelled the paint .It just beaded up. Not nearly as bad as forge world resin does. So usual resin painting rules apply. 3. As far as people worrying about having to get additional dropships because they want to put 2 models instead of 3 in a dropship. You dont have to worry. At least with the scourge carrying capacity is not an abstract concept. With a Marauder dropship you can carry 3 Hunters or 2 heavies. You still put in all the brackets because capacity in the rules is determined by what can actually fit on the ship. Even with all 3 brackets on you can only fit 2 heavies in the ship. You just have a small gap between the two tanks when you leave the middle braet empty. 4. Gorilla brand super glue does not result in the instant bond that people have talked about. At least the batch I have been using doesn't.

Why the hell would you try to paint a model without primer on it?

We've been afraid of obscuring the tiny detail with spray primer... Will probably try to prime with an airbrush. When you see the models in person, it will make sense!

You dont have to worry about obscuring the details with the primer unless you are using a crapy one ore using to much.
I have been using Vallejo primer on my Infinity models, never had any details obscured because of the primer and they have a lot of fine details on them.

I will be using gesso primer. Though i will try that out on some sprue first.

Believe me, the detail on these is smaller! (I play Infinity also)

But I may give spray primer a try and just do it from a distance, with a very light coating... less coverage than I would normally do.

PP's primer goes on VERY thin. Try using that.

Okay, I will try that (on a test model, of course). And it's my friend's Shaltari in particular that we're concerned about committing to priming, the others are not quite as covered in tiny lines.

You guys are balancing some models close to edges there - you must be confident that the material really is that resilient!

Good point, Alph! It does feel really strong to me... But those are my friend's so he must really be feeling it (also has carpet).

Some people were asking so I posted up a short batrep from my first two games. I didn't take notes or anything so this is just from memory.

What thickness and material card did you guys use to back your buildings? Making mine tonight, already printed on thick paper. And what kind of glue, I guess?
