@ski2060
If you're going to spend $170 anyway, go for the assault force- it at least nets you three more Mecha.

2 more, but who's counting

$130 pledge is 4 mechs (3 medium, 1 heavy)
$170 pledge is 6 Mechs (3 lights, 2 medium, 1 heavy)

Yeah, I'm thinking the $170 reward and find an additional $20 somewhere.

I can always supplement my Goshawks with Aces and Veterans, and ad some tanks/infantry.

Thanks, I think I'll do it that way. Also, more mini's on the table

It's really important that the delivery estimate are update before funding closes, given that we now have a pretty reasonable idea of how much funding there is.

if there is no such update, then we must consider the promised delivery date to be as late as November 2014.

Just to be up front, the word "estimate" has been severely abused by KS creators to the point where it might as well mean "wild guess." That is not acceptable to me as a backer and I hope and believe Jon Paulson will not fall into that unprofessional and unethical practice.

Manchu, Jon posted that he has a backup caster ready if he needs over flow work done.

Hopefully this will help him on the production side. of things.
His main area of work is going to be design of the mechs and weaponry that was reached in the Kickstarter.
Secondary to that is going to be the rulebook, and then all the casting/shipping.

Jon: Since there is a backup caster already in place (correct me if I'm wrong here), but couldn't you farm the work out for the mini's that you already have masters for, while you work on the design of the new mecha and rule book?

That would cut down pressure on production at the back end of the project, instead of waiting until after all the masters are in to do all production.

Maybe we will get pics of them in updates for weeks where development is otherwise slow. Would be a nice tide-over.

Does assault force still get double rewards btw? So 6 light packs, 4 medium, 2 heavy?

I don't think so. Unless I'm getting 24 L packs, 16 M packs and 8 H packs with my Total Carnage pledge

The double stretch rewards are already included in the chart.

ATM delivery date is looking to be Nov.

The back up caster is only for an emergency, a lot of this kickstarter's success is due to my company having a reputation or delivering an excellent quality of casting. While outsourcing the casting would save me a ton of time I'm not willing to trade that for a lower standard product I'm very picky about my resin and I can't hand it off to just anyone.

So am I reading them right for the Micro Assault Force. We'd get:

3 Light Mech Weapon Packs
2 Medium Mech Weapon Packs
1 Heavy Mech Weapon Pack

And:

6 Micro Weapon packs

Is that correct as that's the way I read that? So 12 Weapon Packs total on the Assault force or 6? Thanks for the clarification

The micro armor weapon packs are not subject to weight class restrictions, so an assault force gets 6 packs that can be any mix of lt,med, heavy. The carnage gets 12 of any combination.

The 15mm weapon packs are based on the weight classes as they are bigger and more complicated for me to make. The micro armor stuff is roughly all the same size and being in metal it's all roughly the same cost so I can offer a bit more flexibility on those. Extra bonus for the 6mm people

(Stretch goals are applied by tiers and model scale, so micro armor pledge tiers do not get 15mm scale weapons, no do 15mm tiers get micro armor weapons).

So they weren't really upgraded. You just added up all the stretch goals into them. Coolio.

They were upgraded in that the AF and Carnage levels now receive heavy weapons. (which they didn't before)

Then I rolled everything into a nice list to help save people the head math.

Magnets are still included with all the 15mm stuff, I just forgot to put them on the list

Yeah, I noticed the extra heavy weapon, but according to your previous stretch goals shouldn't assault force have 4 light weapons? Or did you switch one light for a heavy?

$4k and $15k were 15mm light weapon upgrades.
$5k was a 15mm medium weapon upgrade.
Of course my reading comprehension has been off a few times already. :(

The 15k stretch goal has a cap of 1 per tier, which overrides the tier normally getting 2 copies.

I am actually less worried about the miniatures than the books and stuff. I know you have solid experience with delivering on minis. I am hoping the other stuff doesn't become a/several tarpit/s.

So after the Zero Hour unlock each 15mm Mecha in the Total Carnage pledge level is now $12.33 each. Sweet deal!

The books I'll be getting help on. And now that the game is "real" getting more rounds of playtesting shouldn't be an issue. My previous rules updates had been slow eas getting people to sit down and actually play an unpublished game (doom and horror!) I may as well had been asking people if I could light them on fire. Once it's in print everyone wants a piece but until then you are a leper, that's one of the odd interactions with kickstarter is that it gives you some street cred towards being a real project and not just some dreams on paper.

Even when I was working for WOTC people had no interest in play testing a game in development yet everyone wanted in once it was actually on the shelves (and the hard work was done). If the biggest name in gaming can't round up a few volunteers you can probably see where a small start up is going to have some issues.
