Well I went back in at a low level and plan to ramp it up heavily in the survey. Just don't have the funds in the normal account for the size of the pledge I want but i do in paypal so hurry up with that survey

Manchu: I can't speak for him, but Jon has always been very keen on hitting his delivery targets. Even when he did pre-orders, his timing was impeccable. His turnaround for delivery is also very prompt, you'd think he has a swiss watch stuck somewhere in there.

If he says November 2014, I believe him.

Yeah, I came back in too Hulk, glad to see this did so well!

But 199 backers? Come on man. You. Yes, you. The person who meant to pledge, but forgot and missed it. Now we're stuck with this odd number... and it's all your fault.

The past pre-orders have all gone out 2-3 weeks in advance of what I allotted for. So far I haven't had any releases end up running late (knock on wood) with a project of this size I can only ballpark things but I'll be doing everything I can to deliver on that estimate.

Great job Jon!
Looking forward to the pile of resin and rulebook to head my way.

I'll bust out anything I can of an appropriate size to do some playtesting with. Expect some funky pics with Epic Titans, 15mm mecha, and whatever else I can fit in a game :p

I don't know what most folks consider spending a lot of money on a pledge but I feel like I just spent a lot of money pledging for this one. It's the amount that makes me nervous, not the project. The fact that I finally settled on pledging as much as I did is if anything a ringing endorsement of Paulson Games and Mecha Front credibility.

This is definitely the most I've ever pledged. 3-4 times more than I usually do.

I remember wavering on waiting for this around the time the Robotech Kickstarter launched. Really happy I waited

I did $130, which is my average amount for Tabletop kickstarters. I'll likely add another $170 to that when the pledge manager hits.

Most I've done is SWM's Tablescapes, which was around $630.. and will be doing another few hundred when its second pledge manger hits.

I was incredibly tempted to do the Ace level for Mecha Front..

I just stuck to my $35 pledge cuz I'm broke right now, but I'll be adding more in in the pledge manager and probably go for a 15mm squad

Well done on the Kickstarter, pledge put in for micro-armor carnage. Can't wait to paint these beauties!

Quote from chromedog

I typically consider $150-$200 a pretty good sized purchase either in store or KS, I pledged $300 for the second season of zombicide and shortly after was like OMG I spent how much? Then the pledge manager came around a month or so later and I dropped another $100. There's something additive about kickstarter that makes you pledge more then you normally would spend, not sure why but it just does.

With Zombicide and even Sedition Wars I was very satisfied with backing those. SW could have been much better if the game hadn't sucked so bad but truthfully I bought it strictly for the minis which I was pretty happy with overall. I was into that for only $120, if I'd dropped more maybe I'd feel differently I dunno.

With my own spending on KS I've realized that it's reflective of how much I want to see something happen and where the money is going as I'd prefer not to see it going to some huge big box game company (yes I know the irony of backing CMON stuff above, but both of those did start small) I'd rather it go to a company who's product I like and can use the help, which is what I was hoping would be brought about in my own KS. There's a lot of pretty high contributions from people, far more than I expected in a lot of cases. There's a good chunk of people who kicked in for about $300-$500 and one guy dropped over $900 and my jaw about hit the floor, I'm totally flattered to get that type of backing. I really appreciate the support people have shown for the project and the trust that they've placed in me being able to deliver on things.

I knew it was going to take a bit of faith on behalf of some backers as only a portion of the models have finished concept work, I was hoping that by showing my previous models and how they progress form rough sketch to finished model would help people envision that process a bit better. Now it's up to me to make good on those concepts and flesh them out like the others I've done. After so many rough starts between GW and Palladium it does finally feel like I've broken though and have some very solid footing for a change which I owe you guys a mighty huge thanks for helping with.

I am hoping to see this IP and product range grow and develop into the mainstream, near-future 15mm table top game that is missing from the market. At the end of the day, however, I pledged because the models are super gorgeous and I do think Mr. Paulson can and will get this done responsibly.

Jon, from now on, we'll, be monitoring your posts actively. There had better be at least 4 a day, all of them mecha front related. No whimsy, no jokes, just hardcore Kickstarter fullfillment.

Oh and updates? One a week, at least!

Just kidding. Congrats, mate, I am super proud of you.

I was able to free up some funds and re-back for some 6mm stuff. One request: please use an alloy soft enough to drill and pin with a hand-held pin vise.

Now showing Martian Grunts from Mantic's Mars Attacks!

I pledged for one 6mm mini and one 15mm mini. If I like what I receive, then I will buy more at retail. After KoW, Sedition Wars, Robotech Tactics, and many others, I have decided this is the best approach for me.

I'm curious to see what you'll do with that 15mm mecha.

I mean, it will show up on the blog in your sig, right?

I forgot about that blog! Now I need to post a bunch more photos.

It will probably just hang out with my Dust walker or my 15mm Steel Panthers. Maybe it will accompany some 28mm troops into action as a drone.

Unless Reaper finally brings out the Bones Cav models. Then anything could happen.

Steel Panthers?

I used Dust Tactics walkers for the playtest, they tend to be on the beefier side.

I was trying to think of something vaguely Germanic that matched Steel Legion or Death Korps of Krieg for my 15mm forces (plastic Germans and Proxie vehicles). But even better is naming them after a big hair band that still sounds like something GW would come up with.

Yeah, I can understand that. I plan to paint one of my factions in cold war West Berlin camouflage, it's that blocky blue, brown, and grey camouflage. I figured I'd give them some Germanic name as well.

Does anyone have any photos of the 15mm or 6mm mecha's weapons next to 28mm heavy weapons? If they are comparable in size, I may need to up my pledge during the manager phase.

Ah, I could have taken some of my 15mm weapons Bob, but I traded them to plastictrees since I was more interested in the 6mm scale once I found out that was going to be happening.

If you PM him maybe he can snag some pics of them.

I think I made a sort of Mecha with WGF heavy weapons. You can check it in my gallery. I think I actually have a Mecha Front folder.

I think. I'm lazy.

The 6mm weapons would likely be too small for use on 28mm figures.

With some converting applied the 15mm medium weapons would likely be suitable for stuff like autocannons or lasers for heavy weapons mounts/squads.

Unfortunately I don't have any heavy weapons I can take reference pics with.

Mecha Front now has a dedicated forum: http://www.mechafrontforums.com

From the most recent update: I have a couple of early test shots of the micro armor lynx.

I will post better pictures when they arrive. (these are compiled from a group of photos so the scale is slightly off)
