Reading an abused copy of HH age of Darkness.

It's fun trying to learn the Age if Darkness rules while just having read the Rulebook for 10th Edition 40k.

I don't recommend trying to learn two rulesets at the same time.

No wonder everyone on here recommended I stick with one army for both games. [Custodes]

(Still going to build a Knight Vyridion force at some point though)

Getting ready to assemble 10 Tomb Kings Chariots, sans bases. THEN I will assemble the crew as Tomb Guard so I don't have to pay the excessive price to get the actual unit. After that? I'll build 20 standard Skeletons to use as the chariot crew, minus the one chariot that will exist solely for a Tomb King to ride in. I'm REALLY hoping I have enough of those TK sprue crook blades or else this will start to get hairy...

Lol.
In my circle(s) alot of us play multiple games - 40k(10e), HH (current), Sigmar (current), Old World, Kill Team ( current AND previous - depends upon who's playing), all the variations of Flames of War, Bolt Action (2e. Moving to 3e as people get the new book).
And we have many previous editions of most of these games still in memory....

Sometimes finding the exact right rule is like playing a mental game of Go Fish.

I've been re-reading some 2nd edition 40k codexes for ideas. Also been reading my 6th edition mini rulebook for some ideas.

I've been preparing some unpainted space marine miniatures, I plan on painting up a 5-man combat squad of 1st company veterans for each of the 9 first founding chapters. I want them to look more old school so I've been looking and planning about how best to do that.

Did some copyright research to see what ownership rights I have, if any to use AI to help me fill in the narrative gaps and help me with art in the 1980s rpg I've beèn writing for 2 years.

Found out it's better to use humans for everything... except for typing onto mobile phones.

Finishing up a Contemptor dreadnought for my HH escalation league force.

Since the 1st set of games are Zone Mortalis matches I'm kitting him out for close combat.

I'm also magnetizinf the arms so I can re-arm for range/some range in later games.

So, much like my unit of Flagellants I've been slowly collecting Dwarf minis for the last few years. This was initially going to be a 6th edition Dwarf army but with the Old World out I recalculated the points and realized I was 7 models away from a full 2000pt Old World Dwarf army.

So a buckled down, bought what I needed and after many evenings of paint stripping, gluing and magnetizing I now have my Throng of Karak Azul.

And yes I know for Old World Round bases for war machines are not correct, However I believe all war machines should be on rounds as they look much nicer.

I will die on this hill.

Now I have an upcoming game this weekend of monsters and vehicles only, so I'm rounding up my Nids with my Norn Assimilator and getting him painted!

Fantasy armies - Retired (Tomb Kings, Vampires, Empire, Chaos Warriors/Daemons, Dark Elves)

Tyranids army - Ever evolving, but about 10k pts
Custodes - 3,500pts (Fully painted yay!)
Thousand Sons - 4,000 pts
Eldar - 3,000pts

Had the kids' game day today. Was a lot of fun. It was 600pts of Grimdark Future Firefight. Independent Inquisition (An army I made which is based off Attelus' organisation from Secret War) Stormtroopers led by a traitorous Inquisitor Arlathan Karkin supported by a tank vs Attelus leading Inquisition Agents and Farseer Faleaseen leading Craftworld Dalorsian Eldar trying to prevent Arlathan and company from setting off a nuclear bomb. Was close, but Attelus and company lost (story of his life, lol)

After getting home I fixed a whole lot of minis and things which needed fixing, I also set up the table for my next Five Parsecs Encounter.

So, I decided to test out some primer on an old test model, and do some painting. Its like riding a bike .... or so i thought. I kinda missed the mark... a couple times.

Spoiler:
So, does anyone know how to remove spray paint from a glass tabletop?

Finished rolling up the 32nd Campaign Turn of my Five Parsecs from Home campaign and the next encounter. Also typed up a BatRep for it for the FP Facebook group. Here's my favourite photo I took of the battle. Attelus (this version) after he slayed the Freelancer Unique Individual after he sent this version of Elandria off the board.

Finished assembling the last four Striking Scorpions of the new kit, then primed them. I also began assembling one of my Wave Serpent kits (I've got two) as I've been studying up on my Planet 28 which has some interesting vehicle combat mechanics and the kids of my Miniature gaming club might like to give it a go and one of them likes the Eldar aesthetic and might like to play as a Wave Serpent.

Started working on another project but before I did I managed to get some test models done for my Dwarf army.

They only reference for the colour scheme for Karak Azul is from Warhammer 3. Blue and Gold mostly, so I went with that. I love these old Dwarf models they are chunky and easy to paint.

Although these will be the last Dwarfs I paint for awhile as my friend just mentioned "New edition of Kill Team, wanna play?" so now I'm painting 40k.
