A friend sent me a message that they've finally got a Bolt Action force ready.
We set up a game for Thur evening.

So tonight I need to:
● read through the new edition
● pull out my Germans & add up a current legal list
●make a shopping list
I already know from discussions around the shop that I've got a few units I won't be able to use atm (for ex: I only own 1 MG team. Apparently I now need at least 2. + another officer. Likewise with my lone neblewhurfer)

I'm studying LEDs and how to wedge them into little stompy robots.


Anyone know how to make LEDs pulse, slowly?

Varnishing, flocking and photographing the Shadow King for MCP.

Then working out my next MCP model to paint.

I applied washes on my Wave Serpent, then pulled out the airbrush again for the mid-tone. Also made enemy AI cards for Five Parsecs and made more progress on my 2nd Striking Scorpion.

Had the kids' game day today and it went well. Just did some painting. I got home and after cooking dinner, got out my Air Brush and after quite a lot of trouble, did the highlights on my Wave Serpent.

Got my Bolt Action Germans all sorted according to the new 3rd edition force org charts.
Made a shopping list made for what I need to make a few units 3e playable.
Started filling that list last night at the local shop. Unfortunately they had a very limited selection of what I'm looking for. But I did pick up the Sd.Kfz 250/10 halftrack I needed.

So tonight I've got to get that built....

Painting 2x Earthshaker carriages, 2x Field ordinance batteries, 3x taurox proxies(golden dragon games halftracks),2x Alvis stalwarts, a pair of laser destroyers, a grim prints churchill kitbashed with mine flail and a fuel truck all in Desert Cauter scheme!

Almost finished my Wave Serpent. I'm quite happy with it. The Eldar aesthetic is awesome, streamlined and timeless in my eyes. Their vehicles are old kits but still look great. There's a good reason GW haven't changed too much with updating their kits as their designs were great right from the start (with the exception of the Dark Reapers, not a fan of their weird winged helms and I'm not a fan of the new Maugan Ra, he just looks too over the top now the Major Mini's version is way better in my opinion)

Assembling vex machinator, not gonna add the straps, gonna look in my bitsboxes to find alternate hands because it makes no sense to me that a demon engine can be moved around with leather straps. Hopefully I still got some arm in there that points onward or something, would be a lot more resonating with the idea that this guy speaks in 'code'.

Assembled the warpsmith yesterday, awesome bro he is.

Alo did 6 more sisters of the watch their bows, 6 more to go and all 20 will be ready to add some last-details (on those bows) and then this big purchase-mistake is behind me.

Painting more scarecrows for Kings of War.

I've got 5 different marines ready to prime, the first of my "combat squad" project. Going to paint up 5 dark angels veteran deathwing marines in power armor. I have one metal marine in a robe as the sergeant, one 2nd edition monopose marine, two third edition tactical marines (one with plasma gun) and a 6th edition dark vengeance monopose marine to make up the squad.

Practically finished the Wave Serpent. Could do more, but that'll be enough for now. Also finished another Striking Scorpion and started base painting a 3rd.

Finished up my 32nd Five Parsecs from Home encounter today. Here's a photo, Attelus vs the enemy captain.

Building 2 more Contemptors for 30k.
And getting my US sorted for Bolt action v3.

Rolled up my 33rd Campaign Turn and the details of the next encounter, the final encounter of a Quest.

And my 4th Contemptor dreadnought for 30k has rolled off the assembly line....

Hopefully I can get it base coated tomorrow.

I realized that part of the reason my pile of shame looks so large is because I haven't consolidated it. I have a bunch of boxes half filled with stuff.

Spent some time on the weekend finding all my lose Empire minis and keeping it all together so I don't have to search through a dozen boxes to find bits I bought 7 years ago for a project I decide to just do now.

Also, in relation to that, I just put together a unit of Knights! Maybe paint soon....who knows?

A Necron Nightshroud Bomber.

I'm currently painting Space Marines. I'm halfway through the unit but I need a palette cleanser to help keep me motivated



So I had this Bolt Thrower half painted on my desk for almost a year. Decided to just get it done. I have a bunch of half-done artillery for a bunch of armies I might just focus and finish to get them all out of the way too once I get my other project done.

Ra'Tar, the Corsair Prince of my Black Riders Corsairs slash an Autarch Proxy.

After finishing up the Norn Assimilator, I went back to my Eldar and continuing with my Spirit Seer and 3 Warlocks.

It being Thanksgiving here in the USA, not much at the moment.

Sitting here watching Netflix with the family, trying not to doze off, & telling myself I need to finish building (or at least make some more progress on) a Necron kit needed by Sunday....

Building a 1/48 scale Churchill Crocodile tank that I've had for a bit.
I've intended for it to be the basis for a custom Grot Mega-Tank. But while certainly a nice size to serve as a MT chassis? It might actually be a bit small for what I was envisioning.

So the question is use a 1/35th scale Churchill Croc? Or some other 1/35th scale kit? Hmmm....

And painting up a D&D Minotaur.

A scatter die. How I've missed you!

After finishing my Spiritseer and some Warlock, I now decided to build my 5 Wraithblades. Waiting on some magnet, but I'm gonna glue one arm with the axe, and magnetize the other arm with shied/sword, so I can swap between both loadout if necessary. So for now I'm build the model with their left arm at a casual pace

Built a little Gundam, she be a cutie.

Tried working with panel liner, did not 100% go as planned, but it was a good learning experience nonetheless.

You know, I'm trying to impulse buy a Deathscythe or Deathscythe Hell Custom but I can never find either of those on shelves anywhere.





As far as hobby stuff? If customizing action figures counts, then I'm cleaning the paint lines on a Rush figure I'm making for my Ultraverse shelf. I'm also eyeballing some Crisis Protocol stuff to see if I can pull some Ultraverse goodness with those as well.

Now that the (too small?) Churchill tank is built as far as needed atm, it's time to finish off a few small projects sitting about.
*cut foam trays for one of my more difficult to carry armies,
*finish up (build wise at least) a unit of LI Russ tanks,
*build a few Necron Immortals to replace the Warriors that I can no longer use in the new version of KT,
*print out a # of stat cards for various models/units from various games.
*go through the board game shelf & make sure there's a d6 in each.
