Looking good.

Are you going to clean up those edges of the Pump station? Either some right angle plastic strut to create a border and hide the joining edges?

Hirst Arts is a pretty great company!

That is incorrect, Yep Hirst arts is an awesome company.

madmartykmf wrote:Negative... many companies sell terrain made up of the Hirst Arts Molds. Armorcast, Terranscapes, Dragonforge!

It's not like GW and Chapter House. If their were copywritten things like Aquila s or chapter markings yes there could be a problem

Those companies have signed a license agreement to let them do so. Bruce Hirst allows up to 500$ worth of private sales a year (more requires a Licence) or 0$ sales a year if you are representing yourself as a "company" (requires a license.) I was looking into doing just that myself at one point.

Well thank you for teaching something new... I always thought that dogs laid eggs

It looks awesome! I especially LOVE the pipe elbows going down.

Only one bit of Crit though- If I were you, I'd pre-primer (or paint) the pipes behind the granny grating before you glue it in there.
Save yourself a few cuss words later

Why do you feel deflated? Did we have the same idea? I am sorry you feel that way, if you want to know the truth I sometimes feel like that when I see other people's terrain or minis! But in the end we all have our own style and talent that makes our projects unique I'd love to see your projects!

Yep! good choice!
Products labeled "water effects" are expensive gimmicks IMHO. PVA glue or varnish like that works just as well for stagnant water. That is what we used before GW started selling 1/8 of the product for 300% price markup anyways

A good and thick mix up of plaster also works if your want to do wave or ripple effect. But that rquires painting. Sometimes, if you want it clear you just gotta spend the money.....

pish if you want a good water effect you need something that is a nice polyurethane or polyurea that is clear

I work in the polyurethane/urea field, I MAY be biased. If only I had a base point to start from I could make my own damn water effects! (of course it may end up being toxic.... only adds more fun to the games)

You know, now that you say that, I kinda wanna test it with some spare sprue.

I prime and airbrush in my fume hood (realllllly nice), and I noticed a spill of N-Methyl-2-pyrrolidone the other day when I was priming... that stuff for sure would melt the plastic.

Dave, melting the plastic will not produce a viable model of anything but battlefield debris........LOL, I forget that's actually necessary in this game. Ok, melt away......

modge podge is easy to work with and make great ripple effects. I will be adding falling water on this project. Modge podge and a piece of clear plastic are perfect. I'll show a step by step when I get to the water effects
