Nah use your scheme, I just looked and it is really nice, I like the purples, its a colour i never use, so to see it in my army would give a nice focal point. I like Gitsplittas idea of having an inquisitorial squad, and as I am theming my army on the 1st Armageddon war, it would seem apt, considering all the daemonic nastiness and then the purges which later occurred.

I will leave it to you to decide the type of marine you would like to build and paint, but not a heavy weapon trooper as they are long fangs in my force. Maybe a tactical marine or assault marine without a backpack would be cool. I am just excited to be trading as it give me a focus.

If you want BBL, you could use red as a accent color, but black is the primary color for deatwatch

I don't know if this can be considered contributing or not, but I did a similar thing with my marine trades. Every marine that I've been traded so far is represented in my story in the dakka fiction. If you're interested in their fluff here is a link.

This is page 6 of my writing project but that's when the guest marines are introduced.

@ Prototype_X: Alright here is a very raw wip for your Big Shoota Boy. This we pretty much be the pose. Will pin and fill in gaps with green stuff. Still have to get rid of the mold lines and drill out the barrels. Gonna use a ork head that has his mouth open to make it look like he is yelling and throwing lead down range. Gonna toss the back pack with the grot on the back once I find it. But this is what I have got going for ya so far.

Wow, so here is my long-coming update!
So far, I have built both BishopGore's and IceAngel's Techmarines (seen in a previous pic) but here I am proud to present IceAngel's Techmarine with Heavy gear (Multi-repair tool & Converted servitor!)

I hope ya like @IA! I made a base but it looked rather aweful so if you would prefer I can send him off unattached and I'll include a base for you to theme with the rest of your army?

Thats all for today folks,
Poly

That is awesome! Don't worry about the base, I've got plenty here. I'll attach him to something cool. I love the drill bit thing!

Have you named him yet?

Well, he's got "Mechanicus XII" scribed on one shoulder pad, I left the other blank for you to do whatever you want to xD
So I'll guess he's Mechanicus XII (:

@Prototype_X: Got a little bit more done between projects. Here is a further WIP. Not as rough as the last but still mush work to be done.

I am blown away by all the care and love I see with these models. Great work guys I hope I can keep up!

I am making a vanguard vet for prime 12357!
And he is making me a non BA marine that has succumbed to the Black Rage (and has been inducted into the death company lol)

Mostly, on my phone.

I agree on the techmarine love! Great stuff polyd8!

I'd love to say I sculpted the Solar Lion, but he's a collection of bits, essentially: White Lion Chariot bits for various lions, Empire Outrider head (I think), commander torso and legs, sanguinary dagger, angelus bolt gun left arm, termie lightning claw right arm, and a lion headed cloak out of my bits box, origin unknown. Oh, and a Khorne sigil and dagger out the box as well.

Hope I can do him justice with a lick o' paint...

Making progress on my long-standing trade with whalemusic360... we're swapping plasma cannoneers.

Base is done... I didn't quite have the same grey that WM uses on his bases, so I made my best mix... but the base can easily be re-ringed in the proper color.

And I have a green marine. (actually he's not quite this yellow)... issue with my camera.

Next comes the rather dull job of lining everything with Thraka Green, but after that things get interesting again.
