Started in on Nid... this thing will probably be illegal, but going for a flying swarmlord, with the four sword arms and a set of wings and some extra bits to boot, but to start with basic paint on the big bits...


Probably going to darken it down a bit yet.

And this will go more toward flesh tone, probably is I can manage it some veins.

The blend is the result of many layers and a cheap airbrush.

And a few subtle bits of progress...might have to zoom in.




Not sure which way to go with the claw bits, bone is tempting, but so is black!

Black claws would offset the brighter colors already used so farm so go black/gray

I think black may be too stark a contrast, maybe a fade to black tips?

I like the "Feeder" mandibles you added with the gaunt arms there. Makes it look better off than a T-Rex. It can actually hold the food for the teeth to bite into!

Yeah that works in an ott, Pyramid-head kind of way.

Oo, didn't notice the little arms before. Yeah, they work also.

It's Tyranids after all. They can have bits all over the place.

Did you darkenthe green, or is that the lighting? Either way, I think I like the darker carapace better.
