That was basically the theme I was discussing with Anthony, they'd all be quad designs but they'd function slightly differently as they use roller feet for city/urban movement and can navigate rougher terrain via walking like a conventional quad. The basic quad theme being inspired a bit by the walkers in Dougram, Patlabor, Ghost in the Shell where they tend to resemble a tank turret on legs.

Painting total as of 3429/2024: 56 plus a Deva King statue
Painting total as of 12/31/2024: 107 plus a set of modular spaceship terrain and two walkers and a quad mech and five giants
If it would be at all helpful you can delay mine until everything is ready as well.

Ah, I should qualify my above statement- I happen to have only pledged for the items that are ready! If I had some that were not, I would've been okay with waiting till everything was done, too.
The Knightmare frames from Gode Geass used a similar locomotion system - albeit with two legs. It's a little hard to describe, so I'll just show. Skip to 9:20 for Mech goodness.
Something like that on a Rex-ish torso could be pretty cool.

Dropped off 52 packages at the post officer today so you guys should start seeing deliveries soon. That's a bit over 25% of wave one now shipped, the rest should be heading out next week.

Oh good, I didn't pledge for any paper products, just resin-y goodness. ANd at least you always gave signs of life, which is a bare minimum, I would reckon.

Super excited to see all the small mechs making their way out, because that means we're getting that much closer to the big stompy heavy mechs! Very excited to see a Black Wolf sometime in the not too distant future!
Houston we have a problem.

Basically let me start this off with a statement of "Oh F*ck Me!"
I just became aware of a pretty aggravating mistake with the micro armor Goshawk. Apparently back April when I was making the banners for the kickstarter I made a cut and paste error on the weapon load outs.
I must have accidentally switched the B and C variants from what was listed on the website. This is a problem because when I was sorting all the parts I went with the weapon loadouts as detailed by what was originally on the site and not what was listed on the KS banner.
So that means that I sent out a bunch of the B variants with a railgun and missile launchers when it should have been the 2 machine guns and missile launcher combos. C variants got the machinegun/launcher combo instead of the railgun/launcher.
A good chunk of people requested both the B and C variants in equal quantities so those that did will have a set of the correct, but there's a bunch of you who likely have the wrong weapon packs.
I'm sorry I screwed up on that and I'm going to have to figure out just how many orders are wrong so that I know how many sets I'll need to have re-cast. It's going to be complicated by the fact I tossed extras in a few boxes without really writing it down. (I figured nobody would complain it they got something extra) I likely don't have enough left over parts on hand so I'll need to get more copies made before I can get everything sorted out.
Which likely means I'll probably need to wait on sending the replacement parts until wave two is ready to ship.
It's not something I was aware of until now, and I feel like a total heel for messing that up.
Fortunately it doesn't impact any of the requests for Goshawk A models/weapons, or any of the 15mm mecha. The Carnage level goshawks haven't mailed out yet so I will make sure that those will have the correct parts sent with them and I'll do what I can to get this all sorted out but it may take a while. It's not something I anticipated, I simply f*cked up on sorting the parts and didn't realize it until the majority of those models had shipped.
If you received the wrong weapon parts please shoot me a message so I can make sure you get the correct parts. Alternately if you got the correct parts due to having both B & C please let me know so I can make a note of it.
I know I joke around about this kickstarter being the worst ever, but I want to give a serious reply to this one.
Mr. Paulson, you've been great at open and continual communication. You've handled delivery so far well above par for Kickstarter. Your products look great. You've got more than enough good will built up to weather this storm.
That is definitely one thing I can say about Paulson from personal experience: he's a calm, honest, down-to-Earth guy. I've made multiple orders/deals with him before, and any time there was an issue 9as minor as they were0 he was kind and generous, and took the tip to help me out.
So just be patient while he irons out the kinks, folks. I can testify that when the bugs are out, this will be pure win.
Thank you for not trying to sweep it under the rug Whoopsie Palladium-style. Mistakes happen and you're trying to make good on it without prompting which is the right thing to do and I applaud that.

Seconded.
I'm looking forward to getting my 6mm mechs in, whenever that might be. Kudos for starting things up well, working hard, and letting us know when a snag is hit.
Dude. When I saw the "Oh F Me," I thought I was going to read another tale of woe along the lines of repo men just came in, took away the house, the car, the castings and my left kidney.
This will eat into margins, for sure, but it is a minor mix-up, about which you've been completely up front. This is no Wyrd-sent-me-mpm-that-were-10%-bigger territory.
We're with you, mate!

3 goshawks and enough weapon packs to cover my existing goshawk!
Casting quality is damn good as always, took me less than 1.5 hours to clean, build and magnetize 2 goshawks and 1 weapon pack. Magnets are great, btw. With the appropriately sized drill bit, they drop in easily and hold firm.
Found with some creative angling of the legs and feet without doing major surgery on the models. Will post a pic of my rudimentary dynamic lazy man posing tomorrow.
Speaking of Gruntz, Robin just put together a unboxing review of the stuff he got from wave 1
He has some really killer work he does with Gruntz and his painting ability always has me so jealous :_) I really appreciate him taking the time to review things and I'm looking forward to see how he paints them up.

Yeah, I saw that the other day when he posted it up.
He is responsible for getting me into 15mm sci-fi.
I dabbled in Flames of War, but after seeing his work with Gruntz and all the different 15mm manufacturers (including your stuff) I had to start collecting.

Occasional ramblings about painting and modelling.
Really nice to see the minis out in the wild in the unboxing video.
Really excited for these to get here. Frontline Gaming looks to be releasing a new Fat Mat which work well with these.

Got the 3 goshawks fully assembled and magnetized, and 1 of each weapon pack installed thus far. Here's the little-to-no-effort posing I was talking about that I did.
I really love the sprinting one, the first one I did on the left looks a little awkward... looks like he's kind of shuffling about for cover. Great models, easy to clean and assemble... but man, I am so frustrated in terms of coming up with a color scheme I love. Painting these mechs is a far departure from 40k models (in a good way) so I think they're going to end up Russian Olive like my Dust SSU tanks did.

Nice work
I'm exploring some alternate weapon configurations for use with the next KS. These would cover some of the weapon options that currently aren't offered, such as lasers and rocket pods. Thoughts?

I like number 2 in the first picture, and like the idea of 6 in the first, just would like the pods bigger also.
also like number 3 from the second picture. If you could do that sort of pod to number 6 in the first then I'd think you be golden.
