Can someone tell me the page on the new chaos codex that says what the various marks do?

I can see that the Icon of Nurgle gives everyone the mark of nurgle but for the life of me can't find the page that says what the mark does.

OK, I assume it's +1 toughness, but I can't FIND it.

Same with nurgle's rot now that I look at it.

Try page 25 of the codex.

Ah, stupid then.

Why did I ever think the rules for marks would be with the wargear. Obviously it belongs with the fluff.

Well, now, Kid... that's your fault, now. Isn't it?

I mean, why would you expect the codex to be laid out in a sensible fashion!

Please!

Oh... and Nurgle's Rot is a Psychic Power, now (Pg 88).

Took me about 20 times searching for it over and over again until I finally memorized the page number. Makes sense to put it on a completely unrelated page and not in the army list or wargear section right? Get your highlighter out.

I have read it also, being a Loyalist, you need to know your Enemy.

But, I think I have gone through a whole book of those plastic 'Post-it" note-tabs, to easily find stuff, because of the scattering.

Dang.

You speak heresy! We need not understand our enemy to know that they must be cleansed. That they do not follow the Emperor is proof of their sins.

The other good thing about the Codex is that the wargear section now has pictures so you'll never get a Mark of Nurgle and a Reaper Autocannon confused again!

GW is always thinking of us. We should give them more credit.

It's still better than Codex Eldar.

Oh come on Ghaz. I can at least read Codex: Eldar. Codex: Legions Begone! has 3 critical pages in really bad places. Eldar it's just the damn psychic powers. lol

Have to disagree. At least Codex Chaos Space Marines has the units listed in a somewhat logical order. Codex Eldar seems to have placed the units randomly in the codex.

Eldar has some random rules placement too; notably the rule advising us which characters can benefit from aspect powers when attached to an aspect squad.

Athough it's got a lot of bad points... i like the new codex better!?
Sure my demon prince no longer is the the marine killer I made him to be....
I play nurgle and now i can have counts as. soo many of my conversions were banned in the old codex.
now i have options...
plague marines with jump packs (havocs plus mark)
plague marines on bikes (chaos bikers plus mark)

it does get a little confusing for my opponents though that the plague marines with packs /bikes don't have feel no pain... but i always play fair.

I'm new around here I should show a few of my models....

Gary...

More like JJ is thinking of his kid and told Gav how to design the codex.

A shambolic layout is to be expected- this is the CHAOS Codex after all, and God knows there's nothing else in the Codex that's very Chaosy.

We should be thankful to GW for giving us this small and irritating solace.

Is thankful the word I'm looking for? It might be "angry" or "hateful", but I'm not too sure.

Other than the marks, I haven't got that many problems with the new layout. The Eldar codex isn't confusing at all imo.
And sure, for me it's pretty clear what all the weapons are, but if they show us a description of all the guns then it's no loss.
The absolute blaness of the codex is freakin me off, not the layout.
