If they can do Cities of Death, they should be able to
make Cities of Gork. I know half the fun of ork terrain is
to scratch build it, but some kind of terrain kit would
make the game more attractive.

It makes me wonder why they never made a "true"
Necromunda terrain kit outside of selling their box sets.

Now hopefully the release is sometime in the morning British time, so it's nicely waiting there when I get to the office in the morning here on the West Coast.

Do orks actually chant the word "orks"?

Not that I think you're an ork, mind you.

Okay, I do.

My guess is that it will be released in the morning... several days after the projected release date.

"P P P P, P P P P"

I wasn't really into any GW games when Gorka Morka and Necromunda were around.
I look forward to checking out the rules and seeing if I can't get SOMEONE here to play the game with me, if it seems that I'll enjoy it.

About a year ago a guy at the FLGS wanted to revive Gorkamorka, and was actually looking forward to finding some old tiny plastic orks and having a go at some old skool. I threw in so I could remake my morkers using the new bigga orks, with a looted rhino for their skorcha trukk ...

But then the guy disappeared and I'm stuck with a gaggle of orks and their bashed up rhino

GM was a fantastic game though, and really where I learned what 'conversion' means

If it's another "revised" ruleset, like Necro:Underhive, no thanks.

I still have the original rulebooks and Digganob so I'll stick with those...

I doubt it. Probably just a straight archive like the recent Dark Future re-release and such.

Its nice that they are offering Gorkamorka as afree dowload...

But they really should just revive the game and rerelease it again. As with many of their other games.

Even if it is direct only.

Unless it's got Spase Marinez (HURR!) in it, they'll never do it.

You'd really think they'd mention this on the main site somewhere, y'know, like in some attempt to maybe sell stuff ?

It doesn't make it any MORE true than when you first dropped it, either.

Marines are certainly the bread and butter of 40k, and they do get a lot of attention. But they hardly monopolize it.

I'd have to agree with HMBC on this one, without marines, none of the 'cool kids' will be playing the game :(

Now, there's no chance I'll be using this re-release as an excuse to buy a couple of orcs to use as Morkers/themed
opponents for my desert raiders... And most likely I won't be using my modified tallarn rough riders as proxies for
Muties...

No, that's never going to happen. Never... not in a lifetime... *shifty eyes*

I'd love to see a true re-release of the game. Heck, they could fill it with the old plastic trukks/buggies for all I care. Gorkamorka orks were weedier anyway.

What a great game.

Guinness: for those who are men of the cloth and football fans, but not necessarily in that order.

I think the lesson here is the best way to enjoy GW's games is to not use any of their rules.--Crimson Devil
