So then it's possible he's not actually in a dread suit in the leaked pic then... Which means he shouldn't fit inside that armor he's wearing. His arms wouldn't make it to the gloves and his feet wouldn't touch the ground unless he looks like what's his face from street fighter

I guess my desire for more serious models means I can only buy 30k models still.
He *is* pretty ornate, but what would else can you expect from the current UM's? They are the poster children AND they like gaudy armor.
Also, that sword looks like the Emperor's sword.

I can expect the same armor he was wearing since he's been in statis for almost 10,000 years... instead of this terrible looking suit.
However, I've learn to expect the wild differences in quality (and intent) between FW and GW nowadays.

Not my model, but here's a comparison pick I found on Google:
The problem with the plastic one it that it's way chunkier... the pads are larger, the body looks to be wider and more triangular, the pauldrons are larger, the greaves are larger and more curvey while the thighs look to be the same width but spaced really far apart and attached to the hip naturally... like a contemport rather than a person.
Also the weapons are comically large, especially the fist.
Maybe he's a paraplegic after that neck injury/they woke him up too fast and stuff happened so it's a robot suit body.

I'd like to think the Imperium learned from that.

Yeah, they released just 3 characters per book. Certainly not elite units like mortarchs, wrathmongers, stormfiends... oh wait. And even the characters don't match. Sure, we got 3 death characters, but they were the "same" model (you switch a few pieces) and we also had 80+ dollar models thrown into the mix.
And I could go on and on, but really, this is NOT the ET formula.

Duncan's newest vid shows the white dwarf and GW's reply to the leaks. Man they are killing it with these. GW has gone from one of the worst companies with PR to one of the best.

I like that the implication of the video is that Duncan is just a crazy person who paints sitting in his little studio, and they film him and put it on the internet.

Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"
"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"
"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!" |

I like to think that because Duncan asked what the internet was, that he's the one who took pics of the white dwarf and accidentally posted them without knowing.

Looking at the perspective of the camera, plus the fact that Robotiman is standing on rocks as opposed to all the marines on a flat base, I would say Robotiman is actually no bigger that his younger self from FW. Just a more 'epic' pose.

Although I am very much of the mind set each to their own but this really leaves a bad taste in my mouth from a lore perspective. Primarchs used to be ancient mythical warriors and for them to start cropping up out of the blue (excuse the pun) like this just feels so wrong to me because it destroys that mystery and legend that surrounded them. I can completely understand that people are excited by this which I think is a good thing, but for me this reeks of Heresy 2.0 with an AoS aesthetic forced on top of it.
Cypher looks really nice, the Grey Knight looks like well a Grey Knight really so no real complaints there, but Guilliman? Poorly proportioned and just over all not a very good sculpt as far as I am concerned. I really really want to like this model and get behind the whole idea but I just can't for some reason.

After being a fan for almost 20 years, I must say GW is pretty much killing my interest in 40k (my interest for their fantasy games died with AOS). What a horrible model. Look completely out of scales with the other models in the game. The game is starting to become much too character centered, and the fluff change seems to be heading toward the atrocious. I'll wait and see what 8th edition is all about before getting all gloom and doom, but I must say that it's starting to smell really bad. Thankfully, they are supposed to re-release Necromunda. Good chance that it will be the only GW game I play in the near future.

Not only there - all Harlequins on main shots for each bundle are all 4th ed sculpts, including Shadowseer in Whispering Ghost Hall. Just a fun fact realy, as those "diorama" shots include latest plastics...
Ah, and those old Jetbikes on Ynnead's Net front pic look almost bizarre in company of only new sculpts of the rest of this bundle
Any ideas why GW made those pics in such way?
