Thought I'd compile a list of the new daemon releases and what they will cost.. I was looking around trying to figure the prices out myself based on various "band" letters from various game day pics on various posts.. haven't seen this info all in one place anywhere. Apologies to those outside the U.S. regarding my currency of choice..

$12 The Masque (Slaanesh Special Herald)

$17 Skulltaker (Khorne Special Herald)
$17 Karanak (Khorne Hounds Special Character)

$20 Fiend of Slaanesh

$22 Daemonette Box Set (10 models)
$22 Nurgle Command (3 models)
$22 Herald of Khorne on Juggernaut

$35 Epidemius (Nurgle Special Herald; Not positive on price)

$50 Soulgrinder (Not positive on price)

Unknown (or I just haven't seen the correct picture):

Bloodletters of Khorne
Fleshhounds of Khorne
Bloodcrushers of Khorne
Beast of Nurgle

Please alert me to any errors/new info, and I will correct the initial post.

Yoor Speeshawl too Gawd!

Are they going to pay me $22 to take one of those Fugly Nurgle commands?

This can't be right. That's a 45% drop in price from the current 10-model daemonette box set. Impossible.

But wait. The old box set had around 26-28 bare nipples per box. That comes out to between $1.43 and $1.54 per nipple. But the new daemonettes only have 1 nipple each I don't even think they're showing! So assuming extra bits for command models and whatnot, that's comes out to what, 10-12 per box at most? That's over $1.83 per nipple! Those dirty dirty bastards. Goddamn you GW. Goddamn you straight to hell.

Porn and algebra.........Great combination... ?_?

Anyways- That dosen't seem right at all. Maybe the fact that they went to plastics lowered the price at all?

Hmm.. you know.. sorting through lots of threads with lots of daemon pics, I could have sworn I came across a picture of the daemonettes labeled "band H," but I can't find it now. Can anyone confirm/correct the price band?

Wouldn't be impossible, though.. considering the $22 box of ork boys, the small stature of the daemonettes, their rumoured points drop, and the fact that it's only 2 sprues in the box. That being said.. $30 would not be unreasonable relative to other 40k troop boxes.

Remember when the plastic saurus cav came out?
They were 8 models for $35 while the original metal models were 5 for $45.

Well, the fact that metal models are made of melted down Aston Martins and the plastic ones are made from coagulated worm spittle may have something to do with the "reduction" in price.

Also, the fact that plastic is an absolutely crap material to make toy soldiers that turns them into featureless fiddly heaps of crud also maybe has something to do with it?

$20 for one fiend? $50 for the soulgrinder?

Not sure their worth it then.

Hope more old fools come to their senses and start giving you their money instead of those Union Jack Blood suckers...

Defiler is $55, Soulgrinder I would expect to be the same. And now insert the *vomiting ork icon*

I can only assume plastic demonettes and bloodletters will be 10 for $22. That seems to be the standard for all the new plastic fantasy sets, and these are basically fantasy sets with 10 round bases thrown in.

The special character costs are not unexpected either, and also the ultimate in GeeDubbery when it comes to pricing.

Yep.. cheap troop units aside, it's the other prices that are so frustrating. If the fiend/bloodcrusher/beast types are $20/model.. $100 for a squad of 5?? We also expect to pay a lot for special characters.. but not if you use 4 in one army..

Man, why couldn't the Daemonettes be cool like the old ones? That would be a pretty good deal on a unit that is a steal game mechanics wise. So much so that I would be looking around to see who had the best bulk rate discount. Instead, they wear more clothing than a swim suit model, and have ugly crabby claws (and a wierd mo-hawk... has that ever looked good on a woman?) Maybe I should take this as an opportunity to work on casting and modeling my own figures. *sigh* I WANT to buy from you GW, I really do. You just make it so HARD.

yeah if these are the prices then its gonna be hard to convince the masses that spending buckets of cash on daemons(and personally an all demon gods together army totally screws all the fluff since like forever) they better come up with a better strategy to make them desirable( maybe buy the spearhead and you get a free 5 yr subscription to wd or something)

Only now, young GW, you understand. Prices in Fantasy and 40k don't fit together well. Consider that if you design a crossover project next time...

Man, yesterday was apparently filled with unintentional double entendre for me...

Still, if anything, GW is my old girlfriend who, while nice and stable, leaves me looking wistfully at other women, and occaisionally stepping out for a tryst. I don't see myself leaving her, but I am starting to get my needs fulfilled elsewhere. Mostly the needs are of the feminine variety.

Correct at your leisure

A little research suggests that the Bloodletters are going to be like the Daemonettes and Ork Boyz - 10 to a box and $22.00 per box. I can't wait till May 10th!

Given that GW can charge $40+ for 10 models, I'm pretty skeptical about the idea that we'll get 10 Daemonettes or Bloodletters priced like Orks.

Orks are only 4 pts per model, and can be fielded in vast numbers. And also note that they're proportionally more expensive than 20 Cadians / Catachans for $35.

When you look at the Chaos Marine list, GW is charging $35 for 10 CSM. Why would they charge so much less for Daemons in the same FOC slot and similar points per model?

If GW cuts from $5 per box, that's probably good enough.

I thought Ork Boyz were 6 points per model, and many more for the Nob. Unlike the Cadians they come with all the extras needed to field a Troops choice. I also expect Cadians to be repackaged 10/box sometime soon, to go with the new slim packaging GW is using.

Oops, typo. Yeah, 6 pts per Boy is correct.

And yeah, I can definitely see Cadians repacked at 10/box. Tho charging $22 for that box is going to make IG players cry when they see their Cadians go up by 25% for no good reason. Maybe GW will be nice and only charge $20 per box of Cadians.

I.. I always like the plastic figs better than the metal ones... The tend to come with more bits and are easier for me to hack and convert.

I'd expect something more like the Scout squads myself - ten Guardsmen per box with two special weapon options (melta and plasma or flamer and grenade launcher) and a heavy weapon (heavy bolter or missile launcher). Perhaps one box will have a comms/sergeant sprue and the other will have a comms/junior officer sprue. The Devastator sprues are certainly evidence of what they can cram on a sprue if they want to.

woohoo... that's a whole lot of "not worth it". $50 for a "Defiler with 3 alternate parts"? wow... I think I'm gonna head over to ebay and spend $50 or $100 on Magic: The Gathering rares to celebrate.
