Actually, he seemed to indicate that he was getting out of this business completely, so to me this is more a sign that he wasn't being completely honest with us (what's to say someone that orders one of those off ebay will even receive it?), but that's just speculation on my part. In any case, an interesting find none the less, and I would personally still steer very clear.

If he was shutting down his business, wouldn't it make sense that he'd be selling his personal projects?

That's what I get out of it, and what Matt has communicated to me. Obviously anyone dealing with Matt should take the entire situation into consideration, but if he doesn't sell his items, how exactly is he going to pay those of us that he owes? Can we fault him for trying to generate cash?

If it would've come down to legal action, in my situation, I'm confident that I could've successfully won a judgment against him. That said, if he has no money to pay me with, there's not a whole lot that could be done. Other than damaging his credit, I still wouldn't have seen any money.

In all honesty, I'd much rather be satisfied with my refund and extra items, rather than spend the time and money it would take to prosecute this issue. I'd still gladly go through with it should he renege, but I have to believe he is making a concerted effort to resolve these problems.




Also, could people not involved in this cease their communications with Matt? All that you are accomplishing is to waste his time, and subsequently the time of people whom he actually owes. I have zero tolerance for someone endangering my chances of receiving compensation, and would explore any avenues of legal recourse I may have in the event that that occurs. Apparently, your IP's have been logged, and I will turn them over to the proper authorities if I have reason to believe a crime has been committed.

Given all that we've been through, I'm a little concerned that what is also going on is that he's trying to generate the funds to actually ship the packages he said he already shipped. That, you know, they haven't already shipped actually.

It seems as if the ONLY people who've received packages were from the "re-shipped" group.

Either way, I guess I don't care, provided I eventually receive my items.

I just wish that everything could be 100% on the up and up.

This is the SECOND time my items have been shipped and yet somehow something happened to them so that they didn't make it to me, but were instead shipped back to RSO.

So here we are.

On May 22 and May 24th, allegedly, ALL delinquent packages were sent out.

It is now June 13th, and I STILL do NOT have my items.

That is SEVENTEEN shipping days since it was mailed.

NO package.

NO tracking numbers.

This is a bit ridiculous now.

To the best of my knowledge, the ONLY people who have received anything are the people who had something "resent" after the Post Office "messed up".

I would like an UPDATE, ASAP, on just where my items are.

i have emailed him asking for an update.
I still have nothing also.

I've e-mailed him, alerting him that he needs to update you guys.

I'm still waiting on two warhounds. But that was a special situation and I'm kind of just going to keep waiting I guess.

According to RSO yesterday, he's going to be at least another week before he returns home.
i'm not sure i can wait much longer, but i don't see much choice. i'd love to see where my package
wound up. it's certainly not here!

I don't know what has already shipped, what got lost, what needed to be reshipped, etc.

I think that once RSO receives his eBay payments for his recent auctions, all will be made right.

But again, that is just my opinion.

i'll second What Alph has said, and hopefully will know more this evening.

Good to hear. I e-mailed him last night and I'm waiting for a response. I've offered additional methods of payment, if it would be easier for him.

eBay and PayPal (same company - the double dipping jerks!) do have some odd rules concerning people with low and/or negative feedback...

Still, if 3 weeks is the max wait time, well, we'll see!

While I am not familiar with any of the circumstances or issues Matt may be having on his end... in the 1,600+ combined successful transactions (between my wife and myself), I have never had a PayPal payment "tied up" for 21-days for any reason. People paying via electronic-check are held for a short time. Unverified international eBay'ers payments may take longer. However, PayPal-to-PayPal payments should post internally overnight and be available the next day. PayPal withdrawls to a linked checking account take three to five days to post, if you have "verified" the checking account, which takes 24-hours to do the first time. A mailed payout check from them will take 7-to-10 days. Beyond that, I can't find a situation that would require a 21-day hold... so we'll just have to hang out and wait till he's ready to resolve his transactions.

Newer members with low feedback (less than 5 I believe) have a hold on the funds received until confirmation that the buyer received the item with a tracking number or feedback from the buyer ( as long as 21 days). He currently has a feedback rating of 8 (most stating how fast shipping was).
