I used simple green on the same tanks first not one drop of paint came off... I use superclean after 5 mins i scrape it with a popsicle stick and some paint comes off leav it overnight all but crevices come off. However superclean will burn if it gets on your hands so you have to be much more careful with it then simple green. and yes i hit it with a toothbrush but with all the foam i couldnt see where some of the crevices where so I missed them.

Yea, that's why I will scrub thoroughly, rinse with water, then put back in the superclean and have go #2 on the crevices.

I've had good luck with simple green, but it depends on the paint, sometimes it's taken upwards of 2 weeks, with scrubbing every couple days. Definitely time to try this stuff. I (usually) wear gloves when stripping, mind you, gloves should be an always sort of thing, but I've been careless/in a rush more than once over the years. Heck, I used to strip with lacquer thinner (metal models only, plastic turns into a puddle in it) and not wear gloves, just scrubbing under running water. It works, but it definitely leaves chemical burns on your hands (yay for being smart?)

If you dont paint them so thick you can just spray them with black or white without loosing detail and save loads of time

Not really in superclean it takes a day or two to strip completly and you dont have to worry bout losing details if your paint is to thick.

This only works if you're the one who painted them. With many models obtained via bartertown and ebay, this isn't always the case.

And as a sidenote, respraying black or white does obscure detail if you don't strip first. You can get away with it at times, but every new coat, especially a coat of white which has to be fairly thick to cover any color other than white, adds additional thickness and loss of detail. I prefer stripping whenever possible to get the best end result. Saving time at the loss of quality has never been my schtick.

Nice stripping! I'd consider resoaking the ones that still have paint, esp. that rhino. They're all so close to being perfectly stripped I'd continue until you get it all.

Stick with it, and then we'll talk priming!

super clean isnt to bad most of it was still useable if I didn't futz with it when it was drying. I'd rather just redo my crappy gs work to be honest I just wont strip sidous and I'll detach my capes before I strip.
