Changed my mind after seeing THIS:

Some people may say it's beautiful, but I think it's a monster. It looks so immanouverable and stupid. Also, I think it's a ripoff of the Ghost vehicle from Halo:

Because it was the mid 90s and everything looked goofy as hell. A lot of the "worst sculpts" in this thread are just really dated models from a time when things looked really, really cartoony. The only 40k models that I think were completely unacceptably bad for their time were the metal Possessed:

Considering about 6 months later the current (very good) plastic kit came out, it always struck me as odd.

Totally agree.

I'm going to go with the idea that models that you can buy that are legal so I'll say...

The price for that thing is ridiculous and is considered a legitimate model still(Next worse I would say is the whole Assassin line hasn't been updated for AGES)...

Awww its so cute! He's like an six year old wearing his papa farseer's clothes.

Hey that farseer was the first warhammer model i ever bought lol, i actually re-purchased that one for my new Eldar army

Also the whole new Necron range, i just dont like the look to space tomb kings, they dont make sense. I never really thought of necrons as space tomb kings even with the monolith, they had their own style, now they just dont look cool. I wanted more robotic style units, like tomb spyders, scarab swarms and the one from forge world, the name escapes me.

Well, if we're going to break into that territory, allow me to present the original Chaos Dreadnought:

Well, neither do any of the vehicles. Can a Trukk really hold 10 boys? Can a Battlewagon hold 20? Can a Rhino hold 10 spacemarines?

Yeah but Orks couldn't care less so long as it makes a ton of noise and goes fast. As far as scale one thing to think about is take the model off the base. You'll find your answer is a surprisening yes to a lot these models.

Same here, it's whole reason I started a Blood Angels army over a Space Wolves one.

That nid' is closer to Heinlein's idea of the 'bugs' which the Tyranids are based on. And darn it the Stormraven is an awesome model.

As far as worst looking model in 40K in my opinion would probably be the Necron Monolith it's a floating shoebox with guns.

Please tell me you're not being serious. That's a really ridiculous accusation. An airplane with a dorsal fin? Why I never!

If anything, that totally boss kit looks more like something COBRA would use on the old GI Joe cartoon. That's not necessarily a bad thing.

To be honest, the stormraven is pretty bad, but its not that bad. It looks a lot better in person, and is actually pretty cool with a little conversion work.

The new flayed ones are just disappointing. I would have been fine if they just re-boxed the old ones, but no...

I have to agree with this one and I'll even raise you one Red Terror.

In all fairness, they both have potential, at least if you apply the concepts behind these models to modern plastic kits.
