You can't forge a decent item without ideal materials, and the materials that we are presented with are faulty indeed.
Unless the Imperials suffer massive penalties when they summon a daemon (ie, the best they can come up with is a draw, because soon after the battle an inquisitor comes in a smokes the lot of them), I'm calling nonsense. I don't care what narrative is forged; it's still an absurdity.

So basic 7th ed stratagy here... attach all 15 SAGs to the squad of grots. and shoot and see how many doubles we can roll. and when its a bad double ... or a none double reroll it with fatewever
So you're going to shoot 15 SAGs at one opposing unit? I think this might be the definition of overkill lol

Well, we also shouldn't suffer Perils of the Warp, but we do, so I say we should get Daemons.

I have a peanut allergy. It's really inconsiderate.

Then again, neither should Imperial factions, because heresy.

Isn't it explained at some point that when it comes to nids, the Perils of the Warp is really them suffering from hemorrhaging brains, due to the stress of the psychic power?

Raven is mocking how the Tyranids miss out on all the fun.
No DTs, no BRB powers (and the Tyranid table isn't anywhere near as good as the Eldar one, and it's only one table, no options), no Eternal Warrior anywhere, no allies, crappy lords of war, a mehtastic relic table, a pitifully small number of models from forgeworld, no uber-monstrous creatures that are actually all that uber, no ridiculous death stars, and hell we can't even model spam anywhere near as well as the Guard (or even Chaos with cultists) can.
The only thing left to throw weight around at hyper-competetive metas are dataslates which are very frequently banned, and spamming Dakkafexes, FMCs, Tervis (not as much as before though), Venomthropes, and Biovores.
The FMCs are what you must spam in particular if you wish to win.

Yes, but it makes absolutely no sense. The Hive Mind deliberately uses certain units as conduits for its power, such as Zoanthropes and Hive Tyrants, because they are designed with a brain large, complex and powerful enough to handle it, and it is stated in the fluff that using the power of the Warp filtered through the Hive Mind shields Tyranid psykers from its perils.
Now, I was fine previously with Tyranids not being immune to Perils for the sake of gameplay, but when you start bringing the fluff in as an excuse to handicap Tyranids by removing rulebook psychic powers, then ignoring the benefits that very same fluff should grant to Tyranids, that is when I take issue.

Hive Mind is all about efficiency. It doesn't build the Synapse brains strong enough to be 100% psychic proof, just strong enough to channel powers for one battle with a ~75% success margin. They're all going to get melted back down into biomass once the battle is over anyway

Hive Tyrants are designed to be the ultimate Tyranid and have been shown to remain alive for the entire invasion of an army, so I'm not buying.

It's the inevitable result of Unbound if the rules don't provide any provisions to stop it. You can now legally cover the board in so many tanks you can just tank shock your opponent off of the board.

Or just be impossible to kill in 6 turns. The henchmen list i posted has 28 units in transports, and it takes 1 enemy unit 2 turns to kill the henchmen, barring them dying in an explosion (transport, then troops). Of course not everyone will use unbound to pull these kinds of shenanigans, but bloody hell it shouldn't even exist in the realm of possibility in 40k if you ask me.

Yep. Or, if they want to go with this idea, hard cape the allowable points for unbound games at 1250 or so.

Death or glory bro, death or glory. Laugh as all your opponent's tanks explode as they charge you. Either way it sounds hilarious, an army of tanks trying to literally run over the enemy.

Well, a battlewagon is pretty much exactly 3" wide, and enemy models can't be within 1" of a battlewagon so it takes 15 battlewagons to build column of battlewagons across the entire board and run an entire enemy army over with deff-rollas. If deploying sideways you can even tank-shock them in two waves. At 1660 points you even got points left to buy some KFFs, an ADL and a VSG for your wall of AV14 vehicles:
7 Ork facts people always get wrong: Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other. A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot. Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests. Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books. Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor. Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers. Orks do not have the power of believe.

How many solo Paladins can you fit in 2000 points?
