Basically I have this money put aside for a reaver but what really sings to my heart is a lucious pattern warlord, if anyone is interested let me know. I require a proffesional finish and some up front assurances as the last two scratch builders I have worked with in past (puffin magician and ultramar) have jilted me.

I've built a couple of titans but dont think I'd be good enough to actually charge for it. If you want to save yourself some cash I can forward you templates to build the "Crusader" Warlord?

if its the one I am thinking of with the rounding then I appreciate the offer but this is more what I am looking for
minus the lame redshirt and perhaps a bit smaller
I would attempt it myself but I am just not that good at scratch builds

I have seen the big red one in person (it's at my LGWS) and I will pass on your interest to the guy who built it.
It is really an amazing build and the photo does not do it justice. The colors seem off a little, it is not nearly as bright Blood Angels red - it's more of a Adeptus Mechanicus red in person.

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

Thats actually rather big for a Warlord, its approaching Imperator scale.

You're located in Australia? I don't think building it would be that hard.. I'm sure I could do it. It's the shipping that's the issue. Realistically it would have to be made in a way that it can be dissasemebled and shipped in multiple boxes for reassembly later.
Weight is also an issue. You want it to be light so that you can lift it and move it, but if it's too light, it's also more frail.

in retrospect I've decided not to go through with this, the logistics of getting it transported here along with my desire to purchase other expensive toys have outwieghed the pros in this case.
the thread, did, however, generate one poisitive
HF,
I was recently informed of your interest in having someone construct a Warlord Titan for you. The picture you used in the post is of my Warlord titan for my Adeptus Mechanicus army. Before reading your post, I was going to pass your information on to the Golden Demon winner who built the titan for me, but after reading your comment where you refer to the GW employee in the photo as a "lame redshirt", I really have no desire to help you at all. He's one of my closest friends, and I think it's rather disrespectful of you to insult someone that you've never met. So, good luck on your search for someone to make you a titan, and in the future I hope you think a little bit before insulting the people who work really hard every day to keep people like you happy.
I forgot how redshirts keep us happy

Hmmm, well you can't please everyone. I've never experienced the annoying red shirt. I only played in a GW for the first two years of my time in the hobby and I was out of there store by the time I turned 15. At that age and being new to the hobby they helped more than hindered. Needless to say the 6 years have been great since more knowledgeable and experienced gamers can be found outside of the GW store.

Red shirts:
1 Good one.
1 Cool one.
1 Lame one.
3 or 4 Weird ones.
1 Quiet one. Good painter.
1 Black-shirt jerk-off.
1 Black-shirt I-guess-this-is-my-job.
Same as any other retail, really. Just don't go to them for general rules commentary. Rumours, OK.
Also, that is a cool Titan.

looks a good warlord even if its waaaay too big. When I was a redshirt 7 years ago we had a chaos one about the same size, it just kinda got in the way but was good as a talking point when people discovered the store.
we also had the over enthusiastic red-shirt. great for the kids and the store, I'd love a pint of whatever he was on cos i could never that cheerful all day (misery that I am), he's still with the company at GW Newcastle!

I hear that. I assume you mean "lame" in the literal sense of the word. How many have beards though?
This one is clearly a bit reactionary, but Bravo HF on your decision to share your personal correspondance. You truly are king of the internets.

I think the reply to your posting of the 'lame' redshirt was a bit OTT too, especially when asking for help on a project.
BTW, go to our clubs website(It's in my sig). We currently have 4 Warlords in the group, and I am pretty sure that every Marines(Huuurrrrr) player is making one. PM some details and I am sure we could help each other.
PS, no snide comments on how Fat/unattractive/dweebish/nerdish/Horrible we look..lol

know the guy in the photo as he's a redshirt at the store I frequent. Yeah, someone captured him in a silly picture. For this you publically ridicule him?
This coming from someone who has stated:
1) They want to spend over $1000 on a geeky toy
and
2) They don't have the geek skills to make said toy themselves.
Who is really lame here?

Well, this topic has clearly gone off topic, so it is being locked.
As for the original "lame" comment I think it has been blown pretty far out of proportion. HF said:
"if its the one I am thinking of with the rounding then I appreciate the offer but this is more what I am looking for minus the lame redshirt and perhaps a bit smaller"
He was asking for a titan to be built and he showed a picture of what he was looking for. It was clearly a tongue-in-cheek joke about the picture. In no way did he say anything about all red-shirts or even whether or not that particular red-shirt is a good or bad guy.
