Subject: Apocalypse - Reload. - Rumours from BOLS.

Here's some rumours from BOLS (IMHO the best 40K blog on the net) on the second Apoc book - Reload.
Looks interesting - will prob have to wait and see what datasheets are included.
Cheers,
Padre^.
Hi all,
Here's the latest we've heard regarding this July's release of the 2nd Apocalypse book: Apocalypse-Reload.
88-pages
Contains 50 new Apocalypse Datasheets (unknown if this includes the current ones online)
New army-specific Strategic Assets
A monumental battle report "that has to seen to be believed"
As part of this rollout, several of the larger Apocalypse boxed sets (like the Battle Company, Tank Company, etc...) are supposedly being re-released, as well a a load of new boxed sets for the included Datasheets.
~Hmm, there are about 30 datasheets on the GW website now, so my question is are they included in the 50? In any case, more Apocalypse boxed sets is always good news, some of those sets were real discounts. Standard Caveat Emptors apply...

I am personally hoping for another Jetbike deal. I could go for a deal like 30 Jetbikes for ... cheapish. I cannot get the Windrider host at a discount from a Canadian retailer any longer, alas.

The Sentinel one was pretty cool. So was the Linebreaker and the Land Raider one (4 Landraiders for that price was hard to turn down, especially with currency rate conversions - I basically got 50% of retail!).

I'll confirm all the stuff in the first post, it matches the info sheet I got sent from workshop.
The question I haven't had answered is whether 'new data sheets' will include reprinting some of the stuff that's online. I'm hoping not, but expect that a few of them will make their way in.

I like this. Consolidate the Datasheets into an affordable book and release some new and old Apoc box sets to boot. This is actually a really good idea.

The modeling aspects of Apocalypse are endless. I'm about half done with a nurgle plague tower. 12" long, 8" wide, 17" tall. Doing the faces on the front puzzled me at first, until I remember the box of my daughters old dolls upstairs. It's amazing how cool those old cabbage patch faces look after you carve them up, and stick guns in their mouths, and worms coming out of their eyes

Not everyone has access to both the internet to download the sheets or a printer to print them. Besides, how can I tell if you have changed one you supposedly downloaded off of GW?

Even if they are the same, US$25 is pretty cheap and it saves me having to print out all of them and bind them. I'd almost pay $25 just to have someone do that for me. Could care less about the OMG!! Battle Report though...

It's not a matter of them needing more or not. It's a matter of them not caring if they get it or not. Seriously. G-Dubbs doesn't care a whit if hey make a "bad business" move or not. Look at their track record. You're still buying their stuff. If they reprint 30 datasheets in a "new" expansion, you will still buy their stuff. Even if YOU, specifically, don't keep buying, countless others will. Where is the incentive to care about "bad business?"

I'll disagree. I see everyday how the quality of what GW makes affects there sales. A good product sells great when it comes out, and just keeps going. Bad products don't sell, and don't get re-ordered when they finally do sell. There's absolutely an incentive in their making good business decisions. Good decisions make money, bad ones don't.
I think they do care about making bad decisions. That said, they still make them, which I'm sure is frustrating to all involved.
