Yes, I also wouldn't mind reading the actual page if you have a link.

A bit off-topic, but I see you're located in Bavaria. I'm going to be in Munich for a year, starting in the fall. Is there a place where you game often? Feel free to send me a PM, if you like.

Gonna give this tranlsation bit a try. Only gonna translate the rules bits since I've seen the models posted in this forum before.

The new Marine Codex will be 144 pages. It contains rules for the Ultramarines, the Crimson/Imperial Fists, the Salamanders, the White Scars, the Raven Guard, and all other Codex Chapters.

10 man Tactical squads will form the heart of the new Army List. Space Marines will also receive a unique Force Org Chart.

Landraider's Machine Spirit will allow it to move 6 inches and still fire all weapons.

Special Character Models: Ultramarines Captain Sicarius, Ultramarines Scout Sergeant Telion (can transfer his BS of 6 to one scout in his squad), Ultramarines Sergeant/Tank Commander Chronus (can give his BS 5 to his tank and automatically survives his vehicle's destruction---model will come in two versions: one without a helmet in the cupola and one with a helmet on foot), Crimson Fists Chaptermaster Pedro Kantor

* Neuer Codex-Eintrag: "Sternguard" (engl. "stern" = "streng, ernst, strikt") Veteranentrupp mit Bolter und Spezialwaffen oder Sprungmodulen und Boltpistole und Nahkampfwaffen
* weiterer neuer Codex-Eintrag: Techmarine mit "Thunderfire Cannon" - welche optisch nicht von ungefähr dem alten Salvengeschütz ähnelt. Der Techmarine ist mit Flammenwerfer und Plasmapistole ausgestattet.

New Codex entries. "Sternguard" which are veterans with either bolters and special weapons or have jumppacks, bolt pistols and close combat weapons. Other new entry is Techmarine with Thunderfire Cannon. Thunderfire Cannon resembles the old...not sure the best translation for "Salvengeschutz." Techmarine is armed with flamethrower and plasma pistol.

Take care all.

Good translation

Salvengeschütz = salvo cannon?
I think its a barrage weapon acting like a "katjusha" missile thrower fromussr/ww2.

Sounds really good to me.

Who wrote it???

When it lists Raven Guard, White Scars etc. does that really mean they have different/special rules for each army?? That would rock...my Crescent Guard being Raven Guard successors.

How actual are these sites? I looked there and most rumors were from April/may.

1. All the other rumours I've seen seem to indicate that the Chapters are not getting rules. They're getting a fluff section for each of the First Foundings, plus the Crimson Fists I 'spose, but not rules.
2. If they do get rules however, as in special tweaks for each of the Chapters, then my comments and complaints about Chaos will be even more justified.

Here's betting that "You can take an Imperial Fists army by taking Captain Lysander!" Ditto for the other 10 special characters.

I've heard it was written by Jervis Johnson, with some additional work by some new guy I've never heard of.

I hope the rumors before had not a "we think of to do" set and what is out this week is what we get.Looks like a cut to IC section. For sure I'll take everything with pics. :S
also mentioned is a plastic sprue with pre-heresy armour (MK II,III...),coming with SM.
If they make this, i can forfeit some IC (hey no more smurfs, this time, please) to replace old
metal minis.

IMO a lot of stuff got lost in translation from English to German back to English.

I would imagine that:
- "Chapters got rules" means that the named Chapters got Chapter-only Special Characters with Special Rules
- "unique force organization" means SM have a special rule that breaks the FOC: Combat Squads.

Enjoy the borkenness!

The German is pretty specific on "unique Force Organization Chart" when it says "besonderen Armeeorganisationsplan." We'll just have to wait and see.

The new (/old?) Techmarine with Thunderfire Cannon make me want to start a small army ... infact if they still get the Scions of Mars rule (or simmilar) then i'll definately get them

I expect you access the special force organisation by taking specific characters, like in the DA dex, taking Belial or Sammael allows you to take Deathwing or Ravenwing squads as troops.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

Hate to tell you, but there's a reference to Space Marines (vanilla marines, not DA/BA) having the advantage of Combat Squads in a battle report in the 5th ed rule book hobby section. Count on it.

Now that he's already laid out that he's planning to kill himself, isn't that a touch unethical, if not illegal?

I'm not sure there's a life insurance policy out there that you can buy that pays out for suicides.

There's always Accidental Death & Dismemberment indemnity policies. I know that some companies (one in particular) don't specify the "Accident" as anything except "injury resulting in...", and also says it's covered even if the accident is the fault of the insured.

Anyway, Lysander and Shrike are in; as are Tigurius, and Marneus Calgar. The list provided was for the new Special Characters.

They will each provide special rules for codex army lists, much like the Dark Angels characters. There will not be entire army lists.

Codex Chaos Space Marines is fine, by the way. It's simply supposed to represent Abaddon's force organization.

As the separation occurred in WFB (Daemons, Beasts, and Warriors), so will it be in 40k (Daemons, Undivided, Legions). A good source informed me that a legion specific codex will be on the way, just not soon.

Heading this one off at the pass:

Yes, H.B.M.C. and Abadabadoobaddon and all you other angry-that-they-nerfed-my-broken-codex people, yes, we know you doubt the coming of legions codexes. We know, you've told us a bazillion times. Leave the poor kid alone.

And PS: Those AD&D policies (no, not advanced dungeons and dragons) are for things like "Oops, my husband accidently elecricuted himself while repairing our breaker box while standing in a drainage puddle during a rainstorm," not "oops, my moronic dork of a husband slit his wrists and circled the statue of his ancestors while praying for reprieve from dishonor (go Roman senator style suicide!) all because his plastic army men don't work exactly the way he thinks they should." There are disclaimers in the smallest print that lets them not pay out if a death is classed a suicide by the medical examiner.

So you got to be clever in your suicide, like that guy in ER who "fell" off his roof and "just happened" to impale himself on a 3" pipe.

There is an attitude that not having an insanely optimized, one shot, six stage, omnidirectional, inevitable, mousetrap of an assassin list army somehow means that you have foolishly wasted your life building 500 points of pure, 24 karat, hand rolled, fine, cuban fail. That attitude has been shown, under laboratory conditions, to cause cancer of the fun gland.
