And the noted "Yakface" gets a rep in the Demonhunters FAQ. Is he on the GW payroll???

And the "Necron" FAQ appears to be a Space Wolves FAQ (and the "Space Wolves" FAQ appears to be the *4th edition* FAQ).

Hopefully they'll get the kinks worked out soon and get the Necron FAQ up pronto.

At first glance it looks like there's gonna be a LOT of questions for the INAT FAQ.

They don't even mention how Righteous Zeal works with the 'going to ground' rule or what stuff like the Tyranid Thornback/Symbiote Rippers do now.

In general when it comes to items that are of no use in the new rules it looks like they're going with the 'it just doesn't work in the new rules' approach as opposed to changing the rules to make it work. . .with some exceptions like Tau Decoy Launchers.

Edit: And FYI for anyone who doesn't know, Games Workshop did not contact myself or the Adepticon ruling council on these (or any) FAQs. The 'thanks' in these FAQs seems to be because they used some of our Questions and Answers from the INAT FAQ in their FAQs.

Not much changes to the Tau Empire FAQ. They did reverse their ruling on O'Shova needing a second commander though.

I honestly don't understand how some of those FAQs were actually FAQs. They seem pretty cut and dried to me from reading the rules.

Pretty clear that's a sign of things to come. But they didn't bother updating the Space Marines. Guess there's no point with so short of a time before their new codex.

Interesting to note that they didn't update the profile for the AssCan (so it's still just a glorified heavy bolter), and you can now assault out of a regular Land Raider.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought you could only assault out of a Crusader?

Q. Can a Vindicare Assassin target a model
locked in close combat?
A. Yes – how cool is that?!

Really? These FAQs are all new:

Templar
Blood Angels
Daemonhunters
Dark Eldar
Imperial Guard
Necron
Space Wolves
Tau
Tyranids
Witch Hunters

The only FAQs that didn't change are the ones that were released recently:

Chaos Space Marines
Eldar
Orks

I think this is it until (or if) they do any revisions.

Edit: On 2nd look it appears the SM FAQ is indeed unchanged.

Well, it's specific that ANY access point can be used. Before, only the Assault Ramps (Of both Land Raider variants) would be used. Small change, not a biggy.

However, with the new Raiders being able to move and shoot two lascannons (At seperate targets and at NORMAL BS!) makes them quite attractive in 5th. Hell you can move a Raider 12' now and still fire your lascannon.

Kinda odd that they changed Machine Spirit in the Daemonhunters codex, but not in the Blood Angels codex.....

The servo harness rule in the Blood Angels book is different that from the Marine Codex. Maybe there will be a different Marine one soon.

The DH FAQ seems to contradict itself.

At the start it says:

"Daemonhunters may not ally with any detachment that uses any other kind of ally (Kroot Mercs. etc,)."

It then says on the second page:

"Yes, Daemonhunter and Witch Hunter units may both be taken as allies in the same army."

C'mon guys, make up your minds.

I saw that contradiction myself as well. However there are some rulings that finally answer some ancient questions:

Q. Does the Callidus Assassin’s Neural Shredder count as a single or two-handed weapon?

A. Single-handed.

Q. Can a Daemonhunter Deathcult Assassin be taken as an ally in an army that only has a Witch Hunter Inquisitor (or vice versa)?

A. Witch Hunters and Daemonhunters are discrete types of Inquisitor. The Deathcult Assassin may only be taken in an army that has an Inquisitor from the same Codex.

Now this is an interesting one:

Q. How does a heavy weapon crew mounted on a single base work in the game?

A. Heavy weapon crews are supplied with a large base to contain both crewmen and the weapon for convenience of movement. Treat them as two separate models, imagining a 25mm round base underneath each Guardsman when this is required. If the loader is killed, place a dice or other suitable marker onto the base next to it. If the gunner is killed, the loader will take his place, assume that the loader has been killed instead.

Very interesting...

So gunners are invincible? Everytime they die I will assume the loader (a safe assumption if he was killed a couple turns ago). Clearly this argument wouldn't hold water but I found it funny so I'm sharing.

Holy Rage counts as the Universal Special Rule ‘Rage’ as described in the rule book.

Well, that was short. Penitent Engines, Repentia and Arco-flagellants are once gain completely worthless. Did they even read the rule?

I find it interesting that they added what the new machine spirit rules do for LRs in the Daemonhunters FAQ, but didn't carry it over into the other Marine FAQ's. The machine spirit really makes LR's a great choice now.

I think what they mean by that is that you can't take witch hunter units and their inducted marines, etc. Only WH choices.

I wish they would have clarified how the "respawn" of demons works with a demonhunters army against a demon army. At the current moment my play group plays it as everything but MCs and Vehicles respawn but that seems a bit harsh.

I do like the few changes but I believe they need to be a little more comprehensive.

Right. That was great before. It worked fine. But now, it's the ONLY model that can shift wounds around. When a marine plasma gunner gets killed, it gets killed. Same as any other special and heavy gunner.
