With the Cyclone launcher having two shots it is now statistically better at vehicle hunting and MEQ killing than an Assault cannon. Double the range too. I have yet to do the math with the blast template to see if it is better at killing Hordes.

Heh.
I love how GW bumped the Cyclone over the AssCan. Hey, anybody got some AssCan Termies you want to give away?!?
Also, it's slightly amusing that Las/ Plas SM are 185 pts. Actually, points-wise this isn't so bad. Except when you compare to what we used to pay for 6-man min-max Las/ Plas squads.
It's *very* amusing how much GW wants to sell lots of Razorbacks and Drop Pods.
And it's strange that Land Raiders had their capacity increased.

because there is no terminator command squads
they changed it for drop pods as well

Just read through that list. What a healthy list of options. Every unit has options all over the place. Even Bikes as troops when your Commander tanks one.

Yeah I think they'll have to really. The new dex just looks more fun. Can't wait to see points cost etc.

It does look like it that scouts will be even less used now, even with the new toys that they are getting I doubt all those morons will consider taking WS 3 + BS 3 models in their army of awesome boners.

I can't see any reason why GW couldn't just rerelease the rules for Belial/Sammael in conjunction with the new SM Codex (WD article/Web/FAQ).
Deathwing/Ravenwing as troops is pretty much the only unique thing for the DA codex (and bikes as troops is actually already in there, just not fearless/scout).
I would love if they would fix Ezekiel, he is pretty much worthless compared to the new librarians, and I won't even think about comparing him to the new Tigurius.
Blood angels would need a little more than that (Death Company and Baal) but I think they are well covered as well.
Other than the fact that I spent money on the most recent DA codex already, I think I would rather see that than a convoluted FAQ.
Yeah I am curious to see the points but overall it is pretty impressive how many different directions you could take a SM army now. Some of it seems a little over the top.

Scout Bikers on the other hand, they're fresh off the production line, so lots of nifty special rules for them.

Well, nobody bought the kit when it WAS new so you'd think they'd have a huge stockpile to get rid of.

You see, Chaos Space Marines are more like renegade Space Marines that don't quite agree with the Codex Astartes, but even more like extremely bland Space Marines who traded in the Codex Astartes for a primitive codex written on the back of a cocktail napkin.

There are way too many threads discussioning *almost* the same things going on right now!
It is so... Chaotic! (Ironic, isn't it!)
Anyway, Traitor LR's, Daemon HunterLR's, Witch HunterLR's, Who Knows Who Hunter LR's...
I think maybe they will be constrained, unless a FAQ says otherwise?

Here's how it will pan out:
SM LRs = WIN
Everyone else's LRs = FAIL
Guaranteed. GW won't touch anyone else's Land Raiders.

I loved the models but for something that's more expensive and less effective than the standard model, it was definitely a hard sell.
