That's really great news! Maybe we will see more Mentors on the battlefield. Maybe as counts-as Sternguard?

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

I wish they'd re-release the Legion of the Damned shoulder pads. With legionares in the elite slot it would be cool to do a whole army of them.

I think GW should release all the shoulder pads. Such as the arrow for the tact squads, dev pads, etc... I really like the new molds of the shoulder pads on the AoBR marines.

You can get Alpha Legion pads on the GW site, which I'm using for my Salamanders. They look quite nice with a nice drybrushing.

GW should make shoulderpads with skulls.

Lord knows they'd sell...

Or metal Deathwatch Terminator Pads, and single-handedly destroy that section of the bitz market.

They use to have BA skull shoulder pads for BA 1st company, and you can still get them in Death Coy box.

I have 20 buy need to scrounge another 30 or so for 1st coy BAs....

Fortunately the BAs have chapter symbol and coy 2-5 in metal so I'm sorted for awhile...

Suprised they went with such obscure chapters when things like tactical and dev ones are much more needed.

Perhaps GW can do us the favor of an Spaz Marinz Chapter upgrade sprue that consists of nothing but screaming heads and bitz with skull decorations...

Is it me or are the metal pads smaller than the current plastic pads?

I've got enough pads for a Battle Company but haven't used them yet because they seem smaller in comparison.

If they are smaller, is it noticeable once painted?

They are indeed smaller. You have to trim the shoulder back on the arm piece to get them to fit on properly.

Looks fine if its metal on both shoulder pads though, never seen a plastic/metal combo on a model though.
