It is a personal choice what we eat. We need to stop drawing imaginary lines that divide people into hate groups.

I don't have a problem with vegetairians/vegans, more meat for me.

I haven't had Moose, but I hear it's delicious!

Deer Jerky? Yes please!

So, we do have internet, but only one laptop, and I have to share it.

I can't work on my stuff much, but we'll see.

I put the hammer next to the investigator, and it is small, but it might work.

Score! Welcome back!

Actaully, we have some good friends who have recently become vegans for health reasons. They feel great, and have more energy. Makes me think about it. At least for a while.

But it costs them around 4 times as much to buy groceries as it did before. We can barely afford the stuff we eat now! Although, our vegan friends did give us a freezer full of meat...so I have a pretty high oppinion of them!

hey jake... i hope you and your loved ones are all safe and sound... such a car accident can sure be quite a big strain on your nerves... i hope you feel up to driving again too...

Just in case some of those were aimed at me, I wish to clarify: When I said "Bleeding Heart Vegetarians/vegans" I was refering specifically to those V's who laid off the meat because of the 'Poor innocent animals!", not those who do it for religious, health, or pallette-related reasons.

Well, they are saying it will take about a month for the car to be fixed, but we are going to borrow a truck from my Step-Mother-in-law to get home. I haven't had much time to do anything hobby wise this week, darn wife wants me to do family stuff with the family. Yuck. Anyway, we should be heading home tomorrow. Thanks everyone for your well wishes, I'm just glad no one was hurt when we hit the deer.

That's why I married someone from CA- her family is way too far away for me to have to do anguishing with them, and I pretend my family doesn't exist here. I got a LOT of modeling done this weekend. *poke poke*

Ah, lucky man.

Not a darn thing sculpting wise was done this last week.

I did get some of my Berzerkers put together though, and I found some interesting things for the nurgle part of my army. I took some neat pics, but I don't have my dowload cord for my camera at woork, so I will have to post them tomorrow. I'll post those in my World Eaters thread though.

I got a new-to-me camera this weekend, a Nikon Coolpix, and it takes MUCH better pics than my old one. I have some nice scale pics of the Shotgun and Machinegun I had printed, but again, I'll hopefully have those tomorrow.

I have decided what I want to build for the Terrain Competition! I don't have the new rules in front of me, but I think there is a puchaseable piece that is a landing pad, but I want to make one to look like a Demon Portal, so my Chaos Daemons can be summoned easier. Anyone know what I am talking about? And better yet, have dimentions or pictures of the actual GW piece, to get ideas from?

I got a bunch of goodies this weekend too! one thing of note is another Dremel tool, and a Dremal Drill Press! I can't wait to try this thing out! Also got some cool plumbing and carpentry tools, and an archery bow! Now I just need to get some arrows, and see if I can hit the broad side of a barn! Litterally, I am going to shoot at a barn.

Anyway, hopefully, things will settle down now, and I'll be able to do some work. And hopefully get in a game this weekend!

Thanks Dave! Looks like a good use for a 5 gallon bucket lid!

I may have to sculpt some cultists to operate it though....I'll add those later, that would take too long.

I think you're going to be seeing many different instances of that idea. I was thinking about it this weekend while playing w/ Feldenglas. I'm really starting to take an interest in Chaos Daemons, as allies and as an army choice. I have enough Plaguebearers to make 2 units of 7, and I have enough Bloodletters to create an entire army. The ones I have are 3rd Ed, the huge buffed out ones w/ the massive axe. I'm going to try it and see if I like the +2 ST (total ST6!) w/ the I1, or if it just allows my opponent to crush me before I get to hit back. I also have 2 Bloodthirsters and 2 Great Unclean Ones, and 6-8 Daemon Princes. I

I have a project sketch already:

So many ideas.

I think I'm going to go post this on my Terrain thread as well.

I am sending those columns to Galorn today for molding, along with the new floor tiles and buttress and wall sections.

Nice! That will look good! I am torn between a Khorne/Nugle combined army, and an all Nugle Army with Epidimius. Both sound fun.

I'm going for more of a "Carved from Rock" feel, I want it to resemble a stone bowl, with jagged rocks around the edge, and one large central column underneath. there will be doors/caves in the base to allow access.

Also, does anyone know the best way to glue layers of pink insulation board together? I want to get started on this soon, but I need to get it blocked out first.

Also, and update!
Mostly just of the 3D printed items I got from Shapeways last week.

The Hammer is kind of small, don't know if I should shorten the handle and increase the scale, or just sculpt it myself.

And then, the shotgun, which I am really happy about!

And the Machinegun, which could be a substitute for an Autocannon!

The problem areas I see are that all the detail I put into the 3D images just don't come across at this scale. You can see the "gears" and stuff, but they are just not that detailed. But I am still excited about getting more stuff done!

I had to use the transparent material, which is more expensive, because it allows smaller detail to be printed, but still it was not small enough. I'll have to make the details larger and almost cartoonish in size for them to be seen.

I also have some picutes of what I have been doing and what I am planning for my army, but those I will post soon on my World Eaters page.

Thanks for stopping by, feel free to comment on the 3d Printed items, or whatever you feel like.

that machine gun is ginourmiaosndoakwnng[awkdmas'kdawdawds. It is a auto cannon.... the hammer is small, but make it 1 handed and short like a real hammer and it work out. She could build you a house!

Details or not, those are both badass Jake!

Pink foam? pva works, but it's slow- Weldbond is the best PVA ever made IMHO, Liquid nails, rubber cement also work, just don't forget to peel off the thin cleap plastic membrane first.

if you look on the machine gun by the guy's left leg, there is even a pintle mount!

Thanks guys, I really like the guns, I'll try to get them molded up this week.

The hammer. Yes, it's dissapointing, but it may be usable as a standard power maul for a commissar or something, it's just too small for what i want for this character.

Made in us

Yes, a chainsword is no more powerful than a bare fist in 6th ed, but a chain fist is somehow stronger? WTF? Yeah, I'd call it a power maul, but the hammer would be great for Fallout Super Mutants.

Funny thing is, warhammers were actually more that size in reality. It just wasn't worth it to haul around a sledgehammer in battle.

Anvildue, Thanks. Yeah, I know it actually looks right for a real-world weapon, and I will produce it anyway, it just doesn't look 40K, you know?

Maybe after I add some tubes, and wires and stuff it will look better. And maybe add some thicker hand grip areas.

But I guess the one who really needs to have their say on the size is Sageheart. If he likes it, I'll keep it, if not, I'll re-design it.

Thanks Silver!

I've always used Elmer's glue (regular or wood, same results).

That hammer is awesome, and is an excellent example of how very skewed our sense of scale has become. The scale as a sledgehammer is actually correct:

I say keep going, it looks great!

that so called autogun stand in i want to see with a biped and a big scope...instant sniper tool!!!

the shotgun i just fell again in love with... i think the clear material is the main issue atm... once that gets primed i think more will get to look in line... it is really quite strangelooking to have a clear shotgun...

and yes... tha hammer is too weedy, but as a fantasy weapon...for a horserider i think it would still be usable...

and skalk... is that your competition idea? where are the lids?
