Ive been looking through some publisher's information on zombie mini games and I was curious if anyone had any experience with them.

The requirements I am looking for are:
Miniature game
Scalable from 2-8 players
Skirmish level (on the player side, obviously zombies are legion )
Cooperative (but not set in stone)

Basically I want a game where the players are able to play one to six models and make it through a scenario of undead trying to tear them limb from limb. In that scenario they should be able to work together as a team against the advancing horde or work against each other (diplomacy and deal making/breaking should built in). In other words I want one player to be able to offer some sort of benefit for the other player not to throw his models to the zombies but be able to break that deal if the need (or desire) arises.

I've looked at All Things Zombie, Dead Walk Again and Xtreme Zombie Hunter and am unsure. (Dead walk Again seems like the most likely candidate) Can anyone give any recommendations or anything about these or other games?

It's been a while since I played it, but if you got friends who are into the genre, that game is definetly a lot of fun.

There is also Last Night on Earth. I've played it a few times, it's pretty good. I died though.

yeah,
I have both those games.

Zombies is a bit basic, and some of the rules are dumb for example you need to draw weapons cards like the fire-axe before you can go get it... we house rule that if you go into the fire staion you get a fire axe, If you go into the garden center you get a chainsaw!! gun shop has shot guns and/or grenades etc...
it's a fun game and is easy to explain to people, but it's basically a race to find the heli pad.

Last night on earth is more complex and i find it hard to find people who are willing to play what is esentially a cut down roleplaying game.

PaniC...

Why not play Mall of Horror? There are interesting strategic mechanics and
negotiations that go on in the tiny board game. It's also fast to play and
easy to learn.

40 K Kill Team on a space hulk board with legion of the damned zobies instead of Genestealers. Maybe some nurgle marines, plague bearers etc.

Oh yeah. We played Necromunda with Zombies in it. AncientSociety (I think that's
his handle here) wrote some rules for it that turned the game into an xp farm as
well as a dangerous prospect.

D&D 3E. I set up a village on a 4x8ft table. Put a few vilalgers in remote spots and threw 200 zombies on the board. Players had to cross 8ft of table, saving as many civilians as the could, and get to the gate on the other side.

I'm going to do something similar in an upcoming D&D 4E campaign, using mostly minions with a few higher level zombies in the mix to suprise the party.

Last Night on Earth was pretty fun - haven't played it with the expansion yet. That would be my first recommendation.

Maul of America...ugh. I bought that years ago - box looks like it might be great, but that game has some of the worst production values I have ever seen once you open it. Never could get past that. There very well might be some decent mechanics in the there - but you might want to redo all the maps, markers and figures yourself.

Zombies is great the first dozen or so times you play it, but it starts to get old eventually. Somewhere I have a Zombies!!! RPG pdf that someone did years ago - it was pretty decent from what I remember.

The old SPI Dawn of the Dead game is out there too....if you want to spend well over $100 on a paper and cardboard game! Pretty sure I have seen that online somewhere too...

My friend and I created this 40K Imperial Guard Zombie Mod--GW was not interested, but they are allowing us to share for entertainment purposes. We have play tested several times and gotten the game to a place that fits our vision. It is very challenging, but fighting through an undead infested city is not supposed to be a walk in the park, right? All you will need is one squad of guardsmen per player, a bunch of zombie models (or orcs, or whatever), and some city terrain. Enjoy and appreciate the feedback.

Can't help recommending Two Hour Wargames' rules. Whether bugs, Zombies, aliens, they're really good for simulating enemy army behaviour. Be forewarned that All Things Zombie or 5150 (or whichever flavour of Chain Reaction you go with) will have a tendency to make your troops act of their own volition, escaping your control. Just make sure you realize that'll happen.

...I also realize that this is what most of us wanted from the Doom board game from FFG. I'm sure that somewhere out there is a scenario that makes this work (hopefully involving a mod so your gun doesn't run out of ammo immediately). I bet that it's easy to use auto-play rules for Zombie enemies and just plow through them with Marines.

You could always buy a couple of boxs of zombies from the vampire count range and then have a squad of guardsmen or something and a building
and then just a simple defensive game

All Things Zombie is about as awsome as it gets when it comes to zombie games.

This is a bit threadomancy of me... but I'd check out Incursion by Grindhouse games. It's FREE and all the rules etc. for the game are available in the downloads section of their Website.

You can use pretty much any Zombie figures for it, and any Armoured Marines will do. A printable board and assets card section is also downloadable off the site.

All the above are great games too! But you can't beat free!

You all don't understand. I'm not locked in here with you; you're all locked in here with me.
