Hi all,

I decided I don't like the Lysander model and Combat tactics is way cooler so I made a chapter master who would be fitting to the Imperial Fists.

Here he be. A mix of a little old with a little new.

I will see how it goes with the rest of the company.

I really like the yellow, and especially the fact that one can segregate multiple hues of yellow in the armor itsself, giving it depth. Also, the darklining is very good, not too heavy a black that you sometimes see. Great work!

The double Thunder Hammer option, whilst something you'd never actually take, is such a cool image. This is now my fav model of all time.

i feel bad for anything he gets into CC with. thats a really nice mini ya made there. im glad to FINALLY see someone make there OWN chaptermaster then just using a prebuilt mini.

So far they are for the most part, base coated and lined. I eventually will add more shades as seen on the captain.

But because of the new storm shield rule I feel more compelled to finish the 20 Thunderhammer Terminators. You should have seen the tyranid player almost crap himself after I took out both of his carnifexen with a total of 19 wounds.

Very nice looking army!! I must say that when en masse bleu, yellow, red, turqoise, it doesn't matter./ When there are that many models with a good paintjob the army will look fantastic. Your's is certainly no exception...


I would like to make a same sort of army, but finances and time are not on my side... besides, I have decided to finish my orks first. (also decided that when I started tyranids and when I started guard (almost finished those ))

I love the Imperial Fists, mostly because I respect anyone who will willingly walk into combat wearing bright yellow armour, but also because when done correctly they just look amazing.

That's a fantastic army paintedpotato. I've got a friend who just bought a company and a half of Marines with the intent of making an Imp Fist army. I'm going to send him this thread.

I must concur with many of the other comments, you did amazing with the paint job.

Whenever I see a well done IF army like this, it makes me want to do one....you've got a brilliant army, thanks for sharing.

May I ask what your paint method is- colors, steps, etc.? Yellow is so surprisingly hard to get right, and you have really done so.

Did you base coat in black then do another base in yellow? (USing the aribrush or a spray can for instance?)

I second the request for your methods. I really wana know how you got the nice crisp black lines.

I want to know how you got the shoulder pad decals to stick. I can never get them to stick right. I've been hand painting mine, and it's taking an inordinate amount of time.
